Michael Jänecke is retiring - Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess strongly positioned for the future with a new management team
The coming editions of the textile trade fairs Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess of Messe Frankfurt will be held under new management. From 15 September 2022, Bettina Bär assumes responsibility for the Home Textiles segment of Heimtextil. Her partner in the joint leadership of the international trade fair for home and contract textiles is Meike Kern, who remains in charge of the Household Textiles segment.

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, a real top-class event was on the trade fair calendar from June 21-24: Techtexil in Frankfurt, probably the most important trade fair for technical textiles worldwide. The high number of visitors enabled Mahlo to present its products and solutions for process control to a wide audience.

Techtextil and Texprocess 2022 set benchmarks for future-oriented textile trade fairs
From 21 to 24 June 2022, the leading international trade fairs Techtextil and Texprocess focused on sustainability and innovations and provided the international audience with an optimum setting on seven hall levels for exchanging information and establishing and strengthening business relationships. Quality meets quantity: this motto was fulfilled once again this year. 94 percent of all visitors and 87 percent of all exhibitors expressed themselves as very satisfied to satisfied with their participation in the trade show. These very good results are in line with those of the previous events in 2019.

With a total of 117 participating nations, around 63,000 visitors and 2300 exhibitors, a brilliant re-launch of the international textile fairs at the Frankfurt exhibition center was achieved. Across all three events - Techtextil, Texprocess and the one-time Heimtextil Summer Special - Italy, France, Turkey, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Pakistan and the USA formed the top visitor nations.

The awarding of the 2022 promotional prizes of the Walter Reiners Foundation of the VDMA, Textile Machinery Association, to students and young engineers from German universities for outstanding achievements in their studies took place on 22 June 2022 during Techtextil 2022 in Frankfurt/Main. The nationwide promotional awards were presented by Mr. Peter D. Dornier, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Walter Reiners Foundation, at the VDMA exhibition stand. For the first time, the focus of the selection of the submitted works was on sustainability.
