INDA’s World of Wipes® and RISE® 2020 conferences transition to all virtual format matching corporate travel policies

INDA is transitioning two conference events scheduled for August and September to an all-virtual format for 2020 in deference to corporate travel policies and individual concerns about travel. Registration is open for the virtual World of Wipes® International Conference, aligned with the WIPES Academy training course, and the RISE® (Research, Innovation & Science for Engineered Fabrics) Conference.

Hypertex system installed in Eberbach – Test your own yarn materials

The production of multilayered reinforced felts can be tested in the DILO technological centre in Eberbach with the scrim fabric machine “Turbotex” by ONTEC in combination with a DILO Hyperpunch needleloom. The spacing of the weft yarns is infinitely variable allowing the creation of meshs with apertures of up to 20 x 20 mm.

EU production of face masks, essential for tackling the coronavirus crisis, is set to increase 20-fold by November this year compared to pre-crisis times. INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, announces a new FiltXPO™ venue and date for its second edition. FiltXPO™ is North America’s only exhibition and technical conference dedicated to filtration and separation and will now co-locate with IDEA®, the triennial global nonwovens and engineered materials exposition, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, in Florida. IDEA®, March 28-31, 2022, and FiltXPO™, March 29-31, 2022, will be held as two distinct events in the same building, at the same time.

Germany's Federal Minister of Economics Peter Altmaier today handed over the first notice of funding to Innovatec GmbH in Troisdorf as part of the recently launched "Nonwoven Production" funding program. The North Rhine-Westphalian company intends to produce an additional 1 500 tons of nonwoven per year in the future with the two newly installed subsidized meltblown lines of which one is from Oerlikon Nonwoven. The additional volume will enable the production of more than 1.5 billion protective masks.
