Toray began supplying Boeing in 1975 when it first qualified TORAYCA™ T300 carbon fiber for commercial application on the Boeing 737. Since then, Toray has provided high-performance carbon fiber and highly toughened, primary structure carbon fiber composite prepreg on various programs.
Receiving the Supplier of the Year Alliance Award represents Toray's commitment to performance excellence in quality, cost, and delivery. Furthermore, it demonstrates the successful collaborative relationship between the two companies on strategic programs.
Toray is committed to achieving sustainable growth as one of the basic strategies of its medium-term management program, "Project AP-G 2025," and the aerospace applications of its carbon fiber composite materials business are positioned as products that contribute to the acceleration of climate change countermeasures in line with this strategy. We will continue to pursue this strategy. Based on our corporate philosophy, "Contributing to society through the creation of new value with innovative ideas, technologies, and products," we will continue to propose and provide materials globally that are optimized to solve problems by leveraging our comprehensive strengths and contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral society by 2050.
