Ten Years of Research for a Better White

White is not just white – a glance at Getzner’s latest collection makes that clear. For nearly a decade, the development team has been working to meet the demands of a high-quality yet competitively priced white fabric. After an intensive project phase last year, the result is a quality that excels both visually and in terms of performance.

The fabric is highly resistant to yellowing, greying, and greenish discoloration – and remains stable even after numerous washes. Another key advancement: the switch to an innovative finishing process that further enhances the fabric’s properties. This not only makes production more efficient but also significantly increases the product’s longevity.

That’s why the traditional dyeing process was reimagined — with a forward-looking result: the new dyeing method creates a significantly deeper, more uniform black while also reducing production time.

The innovative finishing process prevents the typical fading along edges and seams. Tests show that the color remains stable, even after numerous washes. Customers are already impressed: the new Getzner black appears richer, more refined, and visibly more durable than comparable products.

Getzner Textil considers closure of Swiss weaving mill Russikon

WR Weberei Russikon AG, which belongs to Getzner Textil AG, produces high-quality jacquard fabrics in Switzerland. This raw material is intended exclusively for the African market. In view of the global economic situation and the associated reduced demand in this area, Getzner Textil AG is reviewing its production planning and is considering the closure of the Swiss site in this context.

Messe Frankfurt and Supima introduce Prefab – a new curated fabric sourcing event in New York City

Lenzing reports improved half-year results and advances strategic transformation

Despite a persistently challenging market environment in the first half of 2026, characterized by volatile energy and raw material prices, subdued global consumer demand and intensified competition from Asia, the Lenzing Group significantly improved its financial performance. Net result after tax more than doubled to EUR 35.6 million, compared with EUR 15.2 million in the first half of 2025. Free cash flow increased to EUR 45.8 million, while EBITDA amounted to EUR 239.2 million. Revenue totaled EUR 1.27 billion, compared with EUR 1.34 billion in the previous year.
