Gartex Texprocess India announces new dates for Delhi & Mumbai editions

With an objective to support the swift revival of the garment and textile industry, India’s most comprehensive exhibition on garment and textile manufacturing supply chain – Gartex Texprocess India is back with new dates for its Delhi and Mumbai editions. While the Delhi edition will take place from 17 – 19 December 2020 in Greater Noida, the Mumbai edition has been scheduled in March 2021.

Following detailed consultations with industry stakeholders, organisers - MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India, have announced new dates for Gartex Texprocess India’s Delhi and Mumbai editions. Originally scheduled in August 2020, the New Delhi edition of Gartex Texprocess India has now been pushed ahead to 17 – 19 December 2020 at India Expo Mart (IEML) in Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR, whereas the Mumbai edition will take place from 19 – 21 March, 2021 at Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai.

The organisers believe that the new dates will ensure optimal revival of trade and provide additional time to exhibitors to plan their exhibits and product launches more effectively in the current environment. The decision which was taken on the basis of feedback from exhibitors, partners and industry associations, also aims to ensure that the event serves its objectives of business, knowledge and tech-exchange in a more meaningful way when the entire textile fraternity can come together.

Exhibitions are a crucial tool to revive businesses and boost economy. YKK develops concept EXCELLA® zipper tape using nonwoven fabric partially derived from used clothing

YKK Corporation has developed a concept version of its premium EXCELLA® zipper series made from nonwoven fabric sheets created by fiberizing used clothing and other textile materials. Based on a proposal by fashion designer Yuima Nakazato, this item was created as a result of collaboration between Nakazato, Seiko Epson Corporation and YKK. The concept zipper was incorporated as a material component for pieces in the newest YUIMA NAKAZATO Couture Collection, “INFERNO,” which was unveiled in Paris, France on July 8, 2026.

Dedicated car seat model of SHIMA SEIKI’s P-CAM® R Cutting Machine unveiled

Leading Japanese textile solutions provider SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD. of Wakayama, Japan, showed a special version of its P-CAM® R multi-ply computerized cutting machine dedicated to the production of car seats for the first time, at a private exhibition held over two days on Thursday, July 2nd and Friday, July 3rd at the Kariya City Industrial Promotion Center in Aichi Prefecture.

Lenzing reports improved half-year results and advances strategic transformation

Despite a persistently challenging market environment in the first half of 2026, characterized by volatile energy and raw material prices, subdued global consumer demand and intensified competition from Asia, the Lenzing Group significantly improved its financial performance. Net result after tax more than doubled to EUR 35.6 million, compared with EUR 15.2 million in the first half of 2025. Free cash flow increased to EUR 45.8 million, while EBITDA amounted to EUR 239.2 million. Revenue totaled EUR 1.27 billion, compared with EUR 1.34 billion in the previous year.

BICO BCF yarn delivers impressive performance in field testing

In a joint development project with other partners, Barmag and Object Carpet have successfully tested BICO BCF yarn in the carpet manufacturing process.
