Swedish JV in hygiene inaugurated in Indore on the 26.2.14

Jajoo Surgical, Indore, India and the Swedish based Investkonsult today officially inaugurated and opened its JV for manufacturing Underpads and Maternity pads for the hospital and institution market segment in India.
The launch has been met with great interest from the market and the factory caters to supply high quality products within this segment. The company registered for this production is Jajoo Hygiene which is owned by Jajoo surgical and Investkonsult and the brand of the products are Pro JS Care Underpad (Regular and Premium)And Pro JS Care Booster pad and Maternity pad. Both companies are small family owned businesses and this production is a natural expansion of Jajoo surgical who is one of the leading supplier in India for bleached cotton. The equipment was shipped to Dewas, MP in August last year and the erection and commissioning has successfully been done so commercial production now can start.

Getting the word from Rakesh Jajoo and Johan Berlin it is understood that if this JV is successful there are more plans for the future to expand this business. The production unit is placed along the highway to Delhi so easy access for transportation and good logistics is served for.

India as a market for hygiene articles is amongst the world’s biggest and our products will have a great demand for the future Rakesh Jajoo says. For Investkonsult Johan Berlin points out that this JV shows that it is possible to enter an emerging market also for small companies, rather than what normally is seen on the world´s playground that only the big players get access to these markets. Both gentlemen expect  this venture to be a success not only for the partners but also for India producing needed articles in India rather than importing from China.

The ceremony was also honored by Mr. Karl Edberg from the Swedish Embassy in New Delhi.
