Sandler AG is more than pleased with the course of the Techtextil 2003

In comparison to the event two years ago, Sandler´s booth recorded more attendants. Among the main focus on automotive and filtration, another emphasis was also put on nonwovens for hygiene and wipe applications.
TECHTEXTIL´S COURSE TO END SUCCESSFULLY

Sandler AG is more than pleased with the course of the Techtextil that took place in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, from 8th - 10th April. In comparison to the event two years ago, Sandler´s booth recorded more attendants.

Among the main focus on automotive and filtration, another emphasis was also put on nonwovens for hygiene and wipe applications. Further, the division of the openly structured booth into these four areas proved to be a good concept. Especially the idea of visually presenting the characteristic streaming behaviour through Sandler nonwoven echoed positively.

In the automotive sector, Sandler presented most versatile products that are notably matching the needs of numerous automotive contractors, like sawasorb plus and sawasorb shadow for example. These two fibre-based sound absorbents could be applied in the door panel, pillar, or dash panel insulation. Even more, acoustically effective parts, applicable as headliner, can be processed with Sandler´s economical sawaform. The great field of applications that Sandler automotive nonwoven are able to cover could be shown for the first time by a new computer simulation. This was again widely perceived positively by the attendants.

Another great part of the attendants were from the filtration industry. In this context, the filter media sawascreen were in great demand. These media are applicable in air filtration, especially as (coloured) pocket and panel filters. The fair again underlined that market demand is moving away from glass fibre and paper media towards synthetic filter fabrics. For this reason, Sandler is setting the trend. Filtration industry also paid substantial attention to "filter-specials?, like vacuum-cleaner bags, for example. The high quality standard of this product was proved only recently by an independent German product test institution called "Stiftung Warentest?: In the latest test report (04/2003), where among other products also vacuum cleaners were tested, one of the winning brands was equipped with a vacuum cleaning bag that was mutually developed in conjunction with a reputable customer. The finding: ... excellent dust absorption, even if filter bags are filled; outstanding filtration efficiency.
In the hygiene sector, the main focus was put on feminine care, adult incontinence, and baby diapers. In terms of wipes, spunlaced fabrics for dry and wet applications were introduced at Sandler´s booth for the first time.

Finally, the good attendance proved again the substantial interest in Sandler nonwovens. For Sandler´s purposes, a fourth day would have made sense at all.
