Kordsa technologies reinforce car of YTU Racing team

Exporting technology to the world from Turkey, Kordsa supports university projects as a reflection of its mission to reinforce the future. Yıldız Technical University Racing team, powered by Kordsa’s composite technologies, participated with its fifth vehicle in Formula Student, the largest engineering competition held in Autodromo Riccardo Paletti in Varano, Italy. YTU Racing team’s project that Kordsa provided with composite material support, succeeded to be in top 20 among 60 teams.

The YTÜ Racing team of Yildiz Technical University, one of the university projects sponsored by Kordsa in an effort to encourage students to engage in technology, innovation, R&D and engineering, has achieved great success in Formula Student Italy. Four teams from Turkey took part in Formula Student. YTU Racing Team passed all technical control stages, qualified to participate in the dynamic race stages. YTU Racing team finished in twentieth place out of 60 teams in Formula Student which aims to develop enterprising, innovative and well-equipped young engineers working with team spirit.

Always promoting university-industry collaboration, Kordsa, supported YTU Racing team in this project with composite materials. The composite materials supplied by Kordsa are used especially at the hull, wings and seats of the vehicle to make these parts stronger, more durable and more convenient for speed due to its lightweight. Kordsa will continue to reinforce the future by supporting YTU Racing team which aims to take part in Formula Student East race.
