Kordsa showcases sustainability and innovation-driven solutions at Tire Technology Expo 2025

Kordsa, a global player in advanced material technologies, participated in Tire Technology Expo 2025, one of the leading trade fairs for the tire industry, held in Hannover, Germany. At the event, Kordsa highlighted its advancements in tire reinforcement technologies while sharing its vision of providing solutions to the global tire industry with the advantage of local production.

A subsidiary of Sabanci Holding, Kordsa introduced its sustainability and innovation-driven solutions at Tire Technology Expo 2025, which took place in Hannover from March 4-6, 2025. As part of its commitment to sustainable mobility, Kordsa showcased REV Technologies, its umbrella brand developed to support the growing needs of electric vehicles with high-performance products. Additionally, the company presented its cord fabric made from rPET, produced from recycled plastics, as well as RFID tire label products, reinforcing its dedication to next-generation, sustainable reinforcement solutions.

Underlining Kordsa’s continued global leadership in tire reinforcement, Dogan Sevim, Kordsa Chief Global Sales and Marketing Officer, commented: “Tire Technology Expo 2025 is one of the most strategic events in the tire industry, offering us a valuable opportunity to emphasize our sustainability and innovation-focused approach while engaging with our customers. As part of the conference program, Kordsa delivered a joint presentation with Continental on Cokoon, an eco-friendly bonding technology free from formaldehyde. In a session held on the first day of the expo, Dr. Mustafa Yasin Sen, Expert Researcher, Chemicals and Materials at Kordsa, and Dr. Cornelia Schmaunz-Hirsch, Senior Reinforcement Developer, Reinforcement Development Tires at Continental, discussed the innovations brought by Cokoon technology in textile reinforcement applications. Additionally, in another session, Begüm Aytugar, Kordsa Marketing Manager, and Seda Araci, Kordsa R&D Technology Manager, Tire Cord Fabric, presented on the topic: "Accelerating Sustainable Solutions for Tires: Sustainable Reinforcement Solutions of Nylon 66 and Polyester"
