Kordsa sponsored the 26th quality congress for “Leadership to Transformation”

Kordsa, leader of tire, construction reinforcement and composite technologies, which pioneered change and transformation with its open innovation approach, sponsored the 26th Quality Congress of the Turkish Quality Association (KalDer)

The main theme of the 26th Quality Congress held in Istanbul on 21st and 22nd November was "Leadership to Transformation" in order to enable companies to survive in the market, protect and improve their market position at the age of transformation.

During the two-days congress, opening speeches were made by Chairman of Kalder Board of Directors Buket Eminoğlu Pilavcı and Chairman of TÜSİAD Erol Bilecik, and many inspiring panels were organized, in effort to guide and motivate the companies that participated in the congress.

Kalder, having Kordsa’s CEO Ali Çalışkan as one of its members of board of directors, organizes the Quality Congress every year in order to shed light on the future of the industries through speeches made by experts. Throughout the congress, this year's "Corporate Excellence and Management Systems Exhibition" was also opened to the attendees.

At the congress, which lasted two days with the participation of over 2,000 attendees, estimable speakers and panelists took part in panels and special sessions under the topics of "From the Futurism to Reality: Transformed and Transformational Technology", "Valued Humanitarian Attitudes", "United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Risks", "Worker Safety as the Main Factor of Sustainability", "Wellness in Business Life: Spiritual Ergonomics and Happiness", The Future of Business", "The Transforming Face of Europe - Transformations and Effects", and "Quality as a Life Style".

Kordsa recognized on CDP 2024 ‘Global A List’ for climate change and water

Fewer pores, greater impact tolerance: Peter Dornier Foundation Prize 2026 honours material research on fibre-reinforced composite components for aerospace industry

Microscopically small pores that form during manufacture, or barely visible impact damage, can severely impair the load-bearing capacity and service life of fibre-reinforced composite components. Two young researchers have presented groundbreaking work in this field and will both be awarded the 2026 Peter Dornier Foundation Prize: Dr.-Ing. Benedikt Neitzel from the Technical University of Ilmenau for his doctoral thesis on pore minimisation in the RTM process, and Johanna Buschmann, M.Sc., for her master’s thesis, completed at the German Aerospace Centre, on the improved impact tolerance of 3D fabrics compared to 2D laminates.

RE&UP Recycling Technologies’ Next-Gen Cotton powers a new collection from Zalando’s private labels, marking a step forward in bringing textile-to-textile recycled fibers into commercial fashion production. Launching on Zalando in August, the collection comprises five t-shirts across YOURTURN by Zalando and Even&Odd by Zalando, made from a circular-knit fabric blending 80% organic cotton with 20% RE&UP Next-Gen Cotton — textile-to-textile recycled fiber produced from textile waste. This is the first time RE&UP's recycled fibers feature in Zalando's private label assortment.
