Oerlikon Saurer shows the Volkmann HeatSET at Domotex 2012

Domotex is the major trade fair for the floor covering industry and from 14th to 17th January 2012 is sure to once again attract the top specialist trade to Hanover. Visitors are welcomed to the Oerlikon Saurer Stand (Hall 5 / A31). The Volkmann Product Line, the market leader for twisting and cabling systems for the production of carpet yarns, presents the new, innovative Heat-SET system.

Innovation Volkmann Heat-SET

With Heat-SET, the integration of heat-setting in the classic cabling process, the Volkmann Product Line sets a further milestone in carpet yarn manufacture. For the first time it is now possible to unite the process steps of cabling, heat-setting and winding in one work phase. Cabling and heat-setting are normally separate processes whereby the yarns are rewound respectively. The first step is the mechanical finish, followed by thermal stabilizing. Package handling and storage times should be taken into account.

Volkmann Heat-SET now combines the two finishing stages in a new method with only one rewinding process. This has many economic benefits; the production time is significantly reduced at the same time producing top quality, classic cabled BCF yarn.

e-save spindle family

With the extended e-save spindle family and energy saving potential of up to 40%, the Volkmann Product Line sets new standards in the market. Depending on the yarn count range and pot feed package diameter, with the e-save spindles the geometric relationship of spindle and pot is optimized. This reduces energy consumption considerably and at the same time decreases the strain on the yarn.

Depending on the quality of the yarn, this means that higher spindle speed and increased production can be achieved. The e-save spindles are provided in the new machines, but of course they can also be provided as a retrofit package for installation in existing plants.:

Upgrades

Many of the new technical innovations are also available as retrofitting packages for an ideal conversion of existing plants. A series of ground-breaking technical elements have been developed, such as the highly efficient, pneumatic swivel creel with excellent ergonomic properties or also for example, the individual compensation and hysteresis brakes for creel yarns which ensure increased cost effectiveness and quality.

The newly developed ball yarn tensioner for two-for-one twisting and single-twisting of BCF single yarns sets a further milestone. Our Customer Support Department would be very pleased to make you an offer for attractive, cost-effective retrofit solutions for older models.
