One-stop sourcing experience: Yarn Expo Spring opens this week with 500+ exhibitors

Set to open this week from 6 – 8 March 2024 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai (Hall 8.2), Yarn Expo Spring will welcome over 500 quality exhibitors from 11 countries and regions

Namely Bangladesh, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. Across seven feature zones, buyers will be able to source from a wide spectrum of the latest innovations, with the show floor spanning 27,000 sqm. Major zones include the Cashmere Yarn, Fancy Yarn, Chemical Fibre, Linen Yarn, Cotton Yarn, Wool Yarn, and Overseas Yarn, which includes the India Pavilion and Pakistan Zone. To dive deeper into industry trends, a series of seminars, forums and panel discussions will be held concurrently.

Opening Wednesday, the NECC will be the focal point of the global textile industry as Yarn Expo Spring will run concurrently with four other major textile trade shows, attracting buyers from across the textile supply chain. Accordingly, a diverse mix of international exhibitors have seized the opportunity to showcase:

  • Overseas Yarn – over 70 suppliers from 11 countries and regions will display their wide range of up-to-date products, with elements of sustainability spread throughout.
  • India Pavilion – organised by Texprocil, the pavilion will feature 30+ of the country’s top suppliers in the cotton yarn industry. Products include: pure cotton carding, pure cotton combing / compact spinning, woven yarn, air-jet yarn, fancy synthetic filament yarn, Lyocell linen, Modal linen, TENCEL™, viscose, polyester, polyester cotton, and more.
  • Pakistan Zone – among the 11 suppliers exhibiting are Abtex International, who will feature their decorative yarns, Fabcot International, presenting cotton yarns and unfinished fabrics, as well as Apex Industries, showcasing organic cotton options.

Other notable international exhibitors include Blinks International (Pakistan), specialising in raw cotton, cotton yarn and grey fabrics; PT Bintang Makmur Sentosa Textil Industri (Indonesia), highlighting spinning, weaving and finishing products; and Rütex GMBH (Germany), specialising in all standard yarns to specialties and development-intensive yarns.


Strong showing of domestic exhibitors

The show will welcome a host of major Chinese exhibitors, representing various sectors within the industry, zoned according to product:

  • Cashmere Yarn – exhibitors include: Dezhou Shangjin Cashere Textile Technology Co Ltd and Dongguan City Jun Lian Trade Co Ltd.
  • Fancy Yarn – this zone will highlight the newest and most fashionable yarns, including featured suppliers such as Dongguan Ruixing Network Technology Co Ltd, Tongxiang Yide Textile Co Ltd, Shanghai Jin Dun, and more.
  • Chemical Fibre – featuring sustainable, functional, healthy, and on-trend products, key exhibitors in this zone include Shenghong Group Co Ltd, Jilin Chemical Fiber Group Co Ltd, New Aoshen Spandex Co Ltd, and more.
  • Linen Yarn – Shanghai Jiayu Textile Co Ltd, Dongguan Sundd Woven Material Co Ltd, and Binzhou Yuyi Textile Science & Technology Co Ltd, among others, will unveil their latest linen collections.
  • Cotton Yarn – over 100 cotton spinning companies such as Wuhu Fuchun Dye and Weave Co Ltd, Litai Xingshi, Wuxi No.1 Cotton Mill Textile Group, Zhenlun, and Tongxiang Wanli Textile Co Ltd will feature a wide range of pure cotton, blended yarns, and other high-value yarn products.
  • Wool Yarn – featuring eight leading exhibitors, including: Tongxiang Hengqi Textile Co Ltd, Zhejiang Xinjing Textile Technology Co Ltd, and Shandong Dashing Cashmere Products Co Ltd.

Informative fringe events to focus on yarn and fibre developments

In Hall 8.2 (H128), many of the latest industry trends and innovations will be rolled into Yarn Expo Spring’s fringe programme, where audience members can hone their knowledge and visualise forthcoming fashions. Notable events include Tongkun – China Fibers Fashion Trends 2024 / 2025 Show, Huafon QIANXI - China Fibers Co-branding World Special Forum, Lyocell MVS Fashion Release Ceremony, and a wide range of product launch conferences.

Yarn Expo Spring is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT. The fair will be held alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, CHIC and PH Value, with the resultant synergy allowing exhibitors and buyers to maximise their business opportunities.

Dual record participation, sleep and sustainability in focus as Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles concludes for spring

Spring Edition 2026 concluded on 13 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), achieving record highs in both exhibitor and visitor numbers. Design, innovation and sustainability propel VIATT 2026’s expanding role in ASEAN textile sourcing

At its third edition, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT) further reinforced its role as a key sourcing and business platform for ASEAN’s textile industry. The three-day fair welcomed over 17,000 visits from 54 countries and regions, and featured over 460 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions across 18,000 sqm. Lenzing advances its transformation: Higher EBITDA, stronger free cash flow and more than EUR 200 million in cost savings

The business performance of the Lenzing Group in 2025 was affected particularly in the second half of the year by external factors such as international tariff measures, subdued demand and declining market prices.
