Teijin joins COVID-19 intellectual property declaration

Teijin Limited announced that it has joined the OPEN COVID-19 DECLARATION as a founding member to declare that the company will not assert any patent, utility model, design or copyright against any activity purposed with stopping the spread of COVID-19 through diagnosis, prevention, containment or treatment.

The OPEN COVID-19 DECLARATION assures that no rights will be exercised regarding patents, design rights, software program copyrights, or other intellectual property pertaining to development and manufacturing activities aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19.By eliminating investigations of possible intellectual property right infringement and needs to negotiate licenses, the declaration is designed to facilitate rapid and optimal development and manufacturing activities purposed with stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Industry, government and academia members of the OPEN COVID-19 DECLARATION, through their unified commitment to stopping the spread of COVID-19, acknowledge the need to collaborate, free of constraint by existing practices or conventions, for the swift development and manufacture of products related to COVID-19, including therapeutic agents, vaccines, medical devices and infection-control products.

2026 general meeting of the Friends and Supporters of RWTH Aachen at ITA

ITM 2028 opens exhibitor registration following successful 2026 edition

Following the successful conclusion of ITM 2026, preparations for the next edition of the International Textile Machinery Exhibition are already underway. The organisers have officially opened exhibitor registration for ITM 2028, which will take place from June 13–17, 2028, at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul.

Object Carpet tests production of rPET BCF yarn on Neumag BCF line

In a joint project with Object Carpet GmbH, Denkendorf; the Institute for Textile Technology (ITA), Augsburg; and Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen GmbH (NGR), Feldkirchen, Austria, Barmag investigated the processing of recycled polyester for BCF yarn. The goal was to evaluate the fundamental suitability of 100% recycled carpet material for reuse in carpet yarn production to create a closed-loop system in carpet manufacturing. To date, commercial rPET BCF processes have been based solely on rPET from bottle pellets.

ITM 2026: Mayer & Cie. Global presents itself successfully at international industry trade fair
