In interior applications, sawasorb® absorber non-wovens can be applied to almost all acoustic applications. The company says they efficiently insulate engine and driving noise, providing for a quiet, journey and optimum conversational acoustics.

For exterior applications such as the engine cover or underbody shield, fluid and dirt-repellent sawasorb® exterior non-wovens offer a textile absorber alternative, resistant to fluids in the engine compartment. In addition to dampening sound they also insulate heat, helping to slow the cooling of the engine during a standstill and to prevent cold starts. Anthracite-coloured product variants are available for visible applications.

Sandler Minibond/Soft-Touch non-wovens are also available as seat upholstery, which Sandler says offers high drapeability, low creasing and a high recovery rate for long-term seating comfort, whilst sawatex® non-wovens for leather seats help stabilise the leather, preventing overexpansion and unsightly creasing.
