SOKO presents low-impact denim finishing innovations at Denim PV Milan

SOKO will present a range of sustainable denim finishing technologies and collaborative projects at the upcoming Denim Première Vision Milan on 20–21 May in Milan. At booth G27 in Superstudio Più, the company will showcase new chemical solutions designed to combine fashionable denim effects with reduced environmental impact.

One of the highlights is “SOKO Shadow”, a dyeing solution developed to create vintage-inspired fading effects with multi-tone depth. The technology can be applied to different fabric types, including RFD fabrics and classic denim. According to the company, the solution naturally concentrates around seams and pockets through specific dye-resist and migration properties, eliminating the need for hazardous discharge chemicals.

Another focus is Hydrogel, an all-in-one denim finishing compound intended to simplify traditional stone-wash processes. SOKO states that the solution can reduce process times by up to 50% and water consumption by up to 85%, as the entire treatment cycle can be performed within a single gel bath. The gel environment is also designed to reduce garment stress and protect delicate or stretch fabrics during processing.

In addition, the company will introduce “FROST”, a non-acid wash technology developed as an alternative to conventional potassium permanganate-based treatments. The solution enables acid wash aesthetics without the use of pumice stones or permanganate chemicals.

At Denim PV Milan, SOKO will also present the special installation “Three Collections. One Vision.”, developed together with Adriano Goldschmied and Pioneer Denim. The project combines premium denim fabrics with low-impact finishing technologies to demonstrate new approaches to sustainable denim design.

Another collaboration on display is “The Denim Project”, created jointly with Arvind. The capsule collection combines Arvind’s textile expertise with SOKO finishing technologies such as Hydrogel and Lumia to develop low-impact denim products with distinctive visual effects.

The company describes both projects as examples of closer cooperation across the denim value chain, linking fabric development, finishing technologies and sustainable manufacturing concepts.
