Picanol guest speaker at Sustainability Talks

Recently, Picanol was honored to have the opportunity to share their insights on the sustainable characteristics of their weaving machines at the Sustainability Talks conference in Istanbul (Türkiye). This event was hosted by Picanol's esteemed customer Kipas Textiles, and Orbit Consulting. The aim behind Sustainability Talks is to offer sustainable solutions for the fashion and textile industry and connect professionals so they can discuss the challenges faced by the textile value chain.

Picanol R&D Manager, Kristof Roelstraete, gave a keynote speech to the more than 1,500 participants in attendance and explained how the weaving machines contribute to creating a more sustainable fashion and textile industry. He also highlighted how Picanol is really committed to its main design principle “Sustainability Inside”, by developing smart and energy-efficient weaving machines, that are capable of weaving with recycled yarns while also minimizing waste. Because every joule of energy, every centimeter of waste, and every cubic meter of compressed air counts!

Picanol thanked the organization for having them as a keynote speaker and expressed their gratitude to the audience for the interest they showed and for the inspiring conversations they enjoyed during the networking moments.

Picanol to present its leading weaving technology at ITM 2026

Picanol is pleased to announce it will be participating in ITM 2026 in Istanbul. This is a key event for industry professionals to engage with the Turkish textile industry as well as the extensive international audience attending the fair. Picanol to exhibit latest weaving technology at ITMA ASIA + CITME, Singapore 2025

At ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025, Picanol (Hall 2 – Booth C204) will unveil the next-generation OmniPlus-i Connect airjet weaving machine, setting a new benchmark in airjet weaving technology. This latest evolution of Picanol’s trusted platform demonstrates how the company continues to deliver innovative, performance-driven solutions that meet the evolving challenges of modern weaving mills.

Picanol’s will unveil the Supermax, its new rapier weaving machine, at ITMA Asia + CITME 2024

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024 represents an excellent opportunity for Picanol to once again demonstrate its technological leadership in both airjet and rapier weaving machines. Visitors to the event will experience Picanol’s world premiere of its brand-new Supermax rapier weaving machine. In total, Picanol will have four different high-tech weaving machines as well as its PicConnect digital platform on display.

Picanol opens its new training and service center in Tashkent (Uzbekistan)

Last week, Picanol inaugurated a new training and service center in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), in collaboration with its Uzbek agent, Baror Group. This state-of-the-art facility is strategically located to serve Picanol’s Central Asian customers more effectively. The opening ceremony was organized during CAITME 2024, which is the largest textile machinery exhibition in Central Asia, and it provided the ideal platform to showcase the new center to many industry professionals and customers from Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, and Tajikistan, among other countries.

Vandewiele Group presents integrated textile innovations at ITM 2026

At ITM 2026 in Istanbul, the Vandewiele Group will showcase a broad portfolio of weaving, carpet and textile machinery technologies under the theme “Textile Innovations Together”. From 9 to 13 June 2026, the Group will present solutions from its brands Vandewiele, Savio, IRO and BMSvision in Hall 7 / Booth 710A.

New spinning package with two-step filtration for recycled yarns and more

At the ITM in Istanbul, BB Engineering unveiled its new, patented ValuePack spinning package for the first time, which features a two-stage filtration system. This is particularly beneficial for re-cycling processes. Until now, spinning packs have used either metal powder (“sand”) or filter candles as filter media. Both options are suitable for differ-ent applications, and each has its own specific advantages and dis-advantages.

Mongolia: Workshop on Italian textile technologies kicks off in Ulaanbaatar

The workshop dedicated to Italian textile technologies will kick off in Ulaanbaatar from 21 to 23 June 2026. Focused on the most advanced innovative solutions for the textile industry, the initiative will bring together 13 Italian textile machinery manufacturers, confirming the growing interest in strengthening industrial cooperation between the two countries and highlighting Mongolia’s strategic importance for Italian textile machinery producers.
