Visitors can get to see some Trevira CS fabrics from the participants in this year's fabric competition. Trevira CS partners worldwide were invited to submit their latest and most creative fabric and yarn creations to this competition, demonstrating the diversity of Trevira CS textiles in terms of comfort and safety, quality and innovative design.

Focusing on the fact that Trevira CS textiles are permanently flame retardant, the competition encouraged entrants to explore the intersection of textile design, functionality and safety. Participants were able to submit entries in five different categories:

  • Creating safely with COLOR AND STYLE: Sophisticated and unusual approaches to interior design.
  • Tested fire safety for great COMFORT AND TOUCH: Focus on well-being through tactile experiences and additional functional properties such as sound absorption and thermal effects.
  • Preventing fire in LIGHT AND DARKNESS: Use of different transparencies to create fascinating plays of light.
  • Acting safe on HEAVY DUTY: Highlighting durable fabrics that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, with a particular focus on UV stability.
  • Reliable safety for TIMELESS ALLROUNDERS: Presenting durable performance in terms of flame retardancy and aesthetics.

A top-class, independent jury of industry experts - Prof. Bettina Göttke-Krogmann, Corinna Kretschmar-Joehnk and Marty Lamers - thoroughly evaluated over 250 anonymized fabric and 24 yarn entries. From this diverse pool of entries, they selected 26 exceptional winners as well as 3 special articles that were more than worthy of a Special Mention for their look, feel and composition.

The Clerkenwell district in London has more architects and creative companies per square mile than anywhere else in the world. This makes Clerkenwell and London one of the most important design centres in the world. The event not only offers the opportunity to experience the outstanding Trevira CS products at first hand, but also to learn about the key benefits of these materials.

Trevira CS®, a brand of Indorama Ventures, stands for safety and quality. All fabrics with the Trevira CS trademark are tested for flame retardancy and meet international fire protection standards. Their flame-retardant properties are firmly anchored in the polyester fiber and guarantee long-term safety, that does not wear off due to use or washing. These properties make Trevira CS ideal for use in hotels, restaurants, hospitals, public buildings and many other areas.
