2021 International Healthcare and Textile Sci-Tech Innovation Conference

As more people pursue for a healthy life, the field of functional textiles will continue to develop. “TexTech Galaxy” will organize 2021 International Healthcare and Textile Sci-Tech Innovation Conference with The China Health Care Association Textile Branch during ShanghaiTex, in the form of display and conference. This year, the conference set antibacterial and antiviral materials as the main themes, this allows the material experts to discuss how to use innovative textile technology to wear healthy clothes during day and night, providing an open platform for healthy functional textile enterprises to exchange information.

The 3rd Artificial Intelligence on Fashion & Textile International Conference (AIFT 2021)

The academic research of artificial intelligence (AI) and its application in the fashion and textile industries have become a hot topic, related technologies such as big data of textile and apparel, e-commerce of apparel, personalization, and supply chain optimization have all received great attention from the industry. AIFT 2021 will be organized by the National Dong Hwa University, Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence in Design Limited (AiDLab) and ShanghaiTex; co-organized by the AIFT Alliance, Journal of Donghua University (English Edition) and Textech Galaxy on 24-25 November 2021 at the Shanghai (Pudong) New International Expo Centre. The event will provide a platform for researchers, engineers and industry professionals in the field of AI and fashion textile to exchange and discuss on the development of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology and practical applications in the fashion and textile industry, creating opportunities for academia and industry to establish cooperative relationships and find global partners.

YKK Corporation has developed a concept version of its premium EXCELLA® zipper series made from nonwoven fabric sheets created by fiberizing used clothing and other textile materials. Based on a proposal by fashion designer Yuima Nakazato, this item was created as a result of collaboration between Nakazato, Seiko Epson Corporation and YKK. The concept zipper was incorporated as a material component for pieces in the newest YUIMA NAKAZATO Couture Collection, “INFERNO,” which was unveiled in Paris, France on July 8, 2026.
