Merger of Japan Chemical Fibers Association and the Japan Carbon Fiber Manufacturers Association

Japan Chemical Fibers Association (President: Hitoshi Ochi, President of MITSUBISHI RAYON CO., LTD.) and the Japan Carbon Fiber Manufacturers Association (Chairman: Takashi Yoshino, President of Toho Tenax Co., Ltd.) were merged on July 1.
For the merger of the two associations, JCMA was dissolved on June 30 and member companies of JCMA such as KUREHA CORPORATION, Toho Tenax Co., Ltd., Osaka Gas Chemicals Co., Ltd., MITSUBISHI PLASTICS, INC. and Nippon Graphite Fiber Corporation entered JCFA on July 1.
Operations and affairs of JCMA are taken over after the creation of a committee of carbon fiber in JCFA, and the name “the Japan Carbon Fiber Manufacturers Association” will be used as necessary for external parties.
