Epoch Biodesign joins T2T Alliance to support textile-to-textile recycling policy

UK-based recycling technology company Epoch Biodesign has joined the Textile-to-Textile (T2T) Alliance, an industry association representing textile-to-textile recyclers within the EU’s policy landscape.

By becoming a member, the company aims to contribute its expertise in enzymatic recycling to ongoing policy discussions in Brussels. Epoch Biodesign is currently working to scale its technology and is developing what it describes as Europe’s first biorecycling facility for nylon.

According to the company, clear regulatory frameworks and enforceable standards are essential to enable the large-scale adoption of textile circularity. Through its participation in the T2T Alliance, Epoch Biodesign intends to support the development of policies that encourage the use of circular materials and help establish textile-to-textile recycling as an industry standard.
