Innovate 2021, organised by World Textile Information Network (WTiN), is now open for a visitor preview ahead of the launch of Textile Innovation Week on 25-29 October.

Innovate 2021 open for visitor preview

New this year is a three-week preview (6-24 October) – an opportunity for visitors to get the most out of the virtual event by planning their participation ahead of the launch at 09:00 UTC on Monday 25 October.

Coming prepared: What does this mean?

From today, visitors to Innovate 2021 can:

• Organise your time: Pre-book Zoom meetings with exhibitors

• Take a sneak peek of the best innovations through the Hub

• Review the Innovate 2021 exhibitors' most innovative products in the Hub and have your say by rating them from Interesting to Revolutionary

• Fill up your calendar: Exhibitors will be live streaming (product demonstrations, technical presentations and seminars etc) throughout the event (25-29 October 2021) and you can plan the ones you’d like visit by adding them to your calendar

• Summit: From 26 to 28 October 2021 the Innovate Summit will live stream presentations from industry leaders, delivering strategic insight into industry transformation over the next five years. View the full agenda and add to calendar the sessions of importance to you

Organising time at events can be tough, especially a virtual event where there can be expectations to manage visiting an event and managing day-to-day workloads. With the visitor preview, visitors can make the most of their time during Textile Innovation Week at Innovate 2021 and have their calendar organised before the event begins. This way, visitors can focus on preparing for the meetings and live streams they have pre-booked to ensure they get the most out of their interactions.

Coming prepared means managing time efficiently, asking the right questions and having the right tools at your disposal. WTiN aims to help its visitors get the most out of Innovate by helping them be as prepared as possible for innovation.

ALADIN paves the way for circular and demand-driven textile production in Europe

Textile production can be organized sustainably by utilizing short supply chains and preventing overproduction. This can already be achieved today by intelligently connecting and efficiently utilizing existing infrastructure. At the same time, production becomes circular when innovative technologies and materials are used that enable high-quality recycling. The ALADIN research project, launched in May 2026 and co-funded with five million euros under the EU Horizon Europe program, is creating the conditions for this.

Ence and ShareTex begin initial testing of the ATENEA innovation project to promote textile recycling in Spain

Ence and ShareTex are making progress on the Atenea R&D project, which aims to develop a complete value chain for textile recycling in Spain. Specifically, the goal of the ATENEA project—which is funded by the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI)—is to connect all the necessary stages for the recovery of textile waste, from collection and management, through recycling and transformation into new raw materials, to their incorporation into new textile products.
