India ITME 2012 - India’s largest & Most Prestigious Textile Technology Exhibition to be held in Mumbai

INDIA ITME 2012, the 9th in the series and the most anticipated textile technology show in India and Asia, is scheduled to be held from 2nd – 7th December 2012 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E), Mumbai, India.
With few weeks to this mega show, there is a palpitable excitement in the air.  The organizers, exhibitors, visitors, vendors, all are gearing up towards this once-in-four-year trend setting textile technology exhibition.  With 800+ exhibitors, 8 new country participation, many delegations from new textile markets, eminent technocrats and textile experts speaking at the Seminar, this event will be the largest so far India has ever hosted with the complete exhibition space of Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre booked from mid-November 2012 to December 10, 2012.

Mr. Sudhir Mankad, Chairman, GIFTCL is the Chief Guest and Mr. Mukesh Kumar, MD, iNDEXTb is the Guest of Honour for Gujarat Day celebration on 3rd December 2012.   

The event boasts of 6 new product launches and special seminar focused on textile chemical sector organized by most prestigious University Department for Chemical Technology (UDCT). Today, it is a proud moment for Indian Textile Industry that it has grown its potential as a textile market and a manufacturing hub globally, that it is hosting a textile machinery exhibition show of such a large scale whereby apart from the 800 confirmed exhibitors, more than 400 companies are waitlisted for space. The bookings for this event closed 15 months back in 2011.

In a very interesting development, for the first time, the textile machinery exhibition is supported by State and Central Government. The organizers are making many arrangements to ensure convenience for visitors in conjunction with the local city governing bodies.

Textile climate control system in workwear – exhibition at the 2026 SME Innovation Day!

Conventional protective workwear often reaches its limits during strenuous physical activity. In particular, the transport of sweat and excess body heat poses a problem. The German Institutes of Textile and Fiber Research (DITF) conducted research on flow-optimized, air-conducting textile structures that enable targeted climate control directly on the body. These structures can be integrated straight into protective work garments. The textile climate control system supports the body’s natural thermoregulation. This contributes to improved workplace safety and comfort.

PET spunbond from China – EDANA welcomes imposition of provisional anti-dumping measures

On 13 May 2026, after eight months of investigation, the European Commission imposed provisional anti-dumping duties of 45.6-50.0% on imports of PET spunbond from China. EDANA welcomes this expression of the Commission’s clear determination to protect EU industries from the unfair trade practices of Chinese producers.
