Heimtextil 2026 rolls out Carpets & Rugs more extensively than ever before: With a new structure and an expanded offering, the leading trade fair for home and contract textiles and textile design brings together leading suppliers and relevant product categories under one roof. For the first time, premium unique pieces round off the global range.

Heimtextil thus provides a comprehensive market overview across all production techniques and distribution channels of the carpet industry. For the first time, the new Future Floor area creates a curated forum for trends, knowledge transfer and business potential tailored to the sector.

Carpets & Rugs presents itself at Heimtextil 2026 across four hall levels for the first time – and thus more diverse than ever before. From 13 to 16 January, Frankfurt will once again be the meeting place for the global carpet industry. In addition to the established market leaders in the fields of machine- and hand-woven carpets, Carpets & Rugs 2026 will offer an exclusive selection of high-quality unique pieces. Manufacturers such as ABC Italia, Le Cadeau Berbere, North Carpet, Rezas Rugs and Satar Carpet, as well as a joint stand of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), will showcase hand-picked unique pieces that combine traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Buyers and decision-makers from (interior) architecture, design, contract business, retail and industry will benefit from an even more extensive range of textile flooring solutions for their projects – from machine-woven and hand-knotted qualities to high-volume suppliers and international pavilions.

"The industry presents a united front in Frankfurt and responds to the challenging market situation with a strong focus on innovation - in design, craftsmanship and market development. In 2026, Carpets & Rugs places the expertise of the carpet community even more into focus with a customised content programme. In addition, hand-knotted carpets expand the product portfolio. With this, Heimtextil opens up a future-oriented offering for all industry participants - and consolidates its role as the most important global carpet hub, says Bettina Bär, Director Heimtextil.

Future Floor: innovations, know-how and carpet trends

The new area in hall 12.0 is the meeting place for everyone who wants to keep their finger on the pulse of the textile flooring industry. Future Floor offers a tailored programme for the carpet industry – with inspiration, expert lectures, guided tours and networking formats. A curated special show stages innovative exhibitor products, new designs and sustainable material solutions. The high-calibre lectures in the adjacent Talk Spot shed light on current trends, technologies and future topics that support business development in the industry.

Among the partners of the area are renowned voices from design, architecture and the media - including ahgz, Architonic, bdia, brandherm + krumrey, Cover Magazine, Nomad, Oeko-Tex and world-architects. Highlights include the panel hosted by Architonic with the exhibitors Golze, Paulig and Oriental Weavers on traditional carpet craftsmanship and global production, the talk by Jutta Werner (Nomad) on ethical carpet design, architect Andreas Jacob (brandherm + krumrey) with insights on holistic interior design, and Lucy Upward (Cover Magazine) with trends and techniques of handwoven carpets. Visitors can also look forward to the live talk by star designer Patricia Urquiola on the immersive installation 'among-all'. In addition, the experts of the design platform Alcova create a link between craftsmanship and AI in daily talks and tours of the Heimtextil Trends 26/27. The complete programme can be found online in the event calendar.

Heimtextil 2026 takes place from 13 to 16 January 2026.
