Advansa launches Allerban®+ – biocide-free dust mite allergen protection for bedding

German fibre manufacturer Advansa has introduced Allerban®+, a new generation of bedding fibre designed to provide dust mite allergen protection without the use of biocides. The development reflects a growing market shift towards healthier and more sustainable home textile solutions.

While conventional anti-dustmite products often rely on chemical treatments, Allerban®+ is based on a modified fibre surface that prevents the development of dust mite allergens without adding chemical agents. The technology enhances breathability and reduces moisture retention, creating an unfavourable environment for mites.

According to recent market research cited by the company, nearly 80% of consumers are actively seeking biocide-free solutions that contribute to healthier living environments – a trend that is gaining momentum in the home textile segment.

The efficacy of Allerban®+ has been clinically verified by independent ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories using ELISA testing. The fibre is produced from recycled plastic bottles and carries GRS and OEKO-TEX® certification, underlining Advansa’s sustainability focus.

Advansa, a leading European supplier of high-tech and branded polyester fibres headquartered in Germany, positions Allerban®+ as part of its broader innovation strategy in functional and sustainable fibre solutions.
