Mahlo to show expertise at Saigontex 2018

Mahlo GmbH + Co. KG, a leading manufacturer for measuring, control and automation systems of Germany, will participate with its local agency Thach Vang Anh Co. in the 30th SaigonTex show, held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 11 to 14 April. For the Vietnamese Textile market, Mahlo concentrates on straightening and process control technology.

The company appreciates the vast history of Vietnam's textile industry. For hundreds of years, the Vietnamese women were known for weaving thread into beautiful silk. Today, textile is one of the biggest industrial sectors in Vietnam, employing over 2 million people. Therefore, the South East Asian country has become a target market for textile machinery manufacturers. German world market leader Mahlo provides straightening technologies with the weft straightener Orthopac RVMC or energy saving concepts such as the stenter process control system Optipac VMC or the drum dryer control system Atmoset SMT for the numerous mills.

The Orthopac RVMC-15 is a modular straightening and process control system available throughout the entire process of textile outfitting. It combines the functionality of a weft straightener with that of a process control system in one compact device.

It automatically ensures a straight-thread product before and after the drying or fixing process and optimises the processes all around the stenter.

The Optipac VMC-15 measures and controls critical process parameters such as dwell time, thread density, residual moisture, basis weight and exhaust air humidity. The Atmoset SMT regulates the residual moisture of the tissue with steam-heated cylinder dryers. Both devices help to save energy and costs.

Visitors of Saigontex are welcome to visit Mahlo Area Sales Manager Stephan Kehry and representatives of local agency Thach Vang Anh Co. at their joint booth to discuss the individual challenges presented in their line of work.

Enhanced protection without added weight: Innovative technology for flame-retardant textiles doubles reaction time and ensures high wearing comfort

Flame-retardant textiles have long faced the same dilemma: the higher the level of protection, the greater the compromise in comfort, weight and breathability. This is especially important for workwear and protective clothing worn for long hours, where comfort is crucial to wearer acceptance and satisfaction. At Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt, Swiss company Textilcolor AG will unveil pyroshell™, an innovative flame-retardant technology designed to tackle this challenge. Protection is provided by a graphite-based functional layer integrated into the textile structure, which doubles the reaction time before burns occur while significantly enhancing comfort. The material does not release any toxic fumes and offers textile manufacturers entirely new opportunities to design and produce protective and functional garments. It is also durable enough to withstand up to 50 industrial washes.
