Digital trader spotted in China–Middle East & North Africa International Trade Digital Expo

Driven by the needs of international trade, it has become a trend to hold exhibitions online. Organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), China-Middle East & North Africa International Trade Digital Expo 2021 had its grand opening through the digital platform GTW-VE on 15th June 2021. The Expo lasted for 10 days in total and attracted 10,000+ overseas visitors and 10,000+ business enterprises.

Digital Trader (DT), as the only invited B2B trading service provider, utilizes self-developed cutting-edge technologies to offer one-stop trading services. Themed as "Win-win Cooperation, Practically Advancing China-Africa Economic and Trade Relations", the Expo is held to transform corporate export methods and analyze the "cloud" economic development. It is divided into 6 sessions focusing on specific sectors as follows: Infrastructure and capacity cooperation, agriculture and food, home decoration and building materials, textile and clothing, consumer products, and a special session (China-Turkey).

It is organized for MENA and Chinese suppliers, buyers, investors, and end consumers. During the ten-day event, over 1,000 enterprises mainly from the Middle East & North Africa attended this fair to seek business partnership and trading opportunities. Meanwhile, 10,000+ overseas visitors participated in B2B meetings.

EU imposes definitive anti-dumping duties on Chinese PET spunbond imports

The European Commission has introduced definitive anti-dumping duties ranging from 39.8% to 48.1% on imports of PET spunbond from China. The measures, which entered into force on 31 October 2026, will remain in place for five years and are intended to address unfairly priced imports that have caused injury to European manufacturers. The EU market for these nonwoven materials is valued at approximately €200 million.

DITF develops bio-based binding fibers for wood-fiber insulation materials

As part of the CelluWoodFlex project, the German Institutes of Textile- and Fiber-Research in Denkendorf (DITF) are developing bio-based cellulose ester fibers as alternative binding fibers for flexible wood fiber insulation materials. In addition to the spinning process and the production of suitable staple fibers, the institute is also investigating how wood and cellulose fibers can be separated and recycled at the end of their useful life.

Reju expands textile-to-textile recycling network with six international fabric manufacturers

Reju, a textile-to-textile regeneration company, is expanding its industrial network through collaborations with six fabric manufacturers in Europe and the Americas. The initiative aims to accelerate the integration of regenerated polyester into textile manufacturing and support the development of finished fabrics for commercial applications.
