Personnel Changes at BASF

He succeeds Wayne T. Smith who has been appointed to the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE effective at the end of the Annual Meeting on April 27, 2012.

The Supervisory Board of BASF Coatings GmbH will be asked to appoint Dr. Markus Kamieth, Senior Vice President, Performance Chemicals North America, N-EVP, BASF Corporation, Florham Park, as successor of Raimar Jahn effective March 1, 2012. Kamieth is currently Senior Vice President, Performance Chemicals North America, located in Florham Park, New Jersey.
