Noyfil SA, another important milestone for Corporate Sustainability

The swiss company of RadiciGroup obtained climate protection and energy efficiency certification for the biennium 2017- 2018 by the energy agency of the swiss private sector.
The corporate path to sustainability is ever-developing and never-ending: every goal becomes the incentive to go further and aim even higher. This approach is a source of inspiration for Noyfil SA (Stabio – CH), a company belonging to RadiciGroup Comfort Fibres Business Area, specialising in the production of polyester yarns.

In recent days, the plant has obtained the renewal, for the period of 2017-2018 of the certificate for voluntary commitment to climate protection and energy efficiency by EnAW (Energy Agency of the Swiss Private Sector), an organisation founded in 1999 by the associations of Swiss economy that provides an energy management service using products, services and tools compliant with ISO: 50001 standard.

Noyfil SA, therefore, goes beyond the regulatory requirements and is voluntarily committed to reducing their CO2 emissions and optimising the energy efficiency of its production processes. This is another important milestone for Noyfil SA, who has been involved in this process with EnAW since 2015-2016. Furthermore, the company has recently obtained the Environmental Management System Certification according to the UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standard, in addition to Noyfil SA’s previously awarded Quality Management System certification according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 standard.

Noyfil SA deals in the design, production - by extrusion and spinning processes - and sale of raw, additivated and solution-dyed Polyestehr (PES) and Polylactide (PLA) yarn. The target markets are mainly the sportswear, automotive, furniture and multiple industrial-use textile applications.

The main brands on the market are Radyarn® and Starlight® (also in the r-Radyarn® and r- Starlight® versions, derived from post-consumer recycled polymers) along with CornLeaf, a yarn made with polylactic acid-based natural bio-polymer, available in solution-dyed and bacteriostatic effect versions.

“Once again, we are proud to announce that we have reached a new milestone in terms of corporate sustainability, this is all thanks to the continuous efforts of our workers. It is a commitment that stems from the management and that, with great professionalism and passion, is embraced by every employee of the company and of the whole group – recalled Plant Director Alberto Giana. It is also a distinguishing feature that makes us stand out to our customers and in the region, where Noyfil SA is considered as a reliable and environmentally conscious partner”.

Noyfil SA currently has 110 employees. The industrial structure was built in the late 70s; several improvement measures have been implemented over the years to best meet market and customer needs, while ensuring high production, quality and environmental performances. The interventions have mainly focused on optimising the use of resources and streamlining the whole production cycle.

Lenzing advances its transformation: Higher EBITDA, stronger free cash flow and more than EUR 200 million in cost savings

The business performance of the Lenzing Group in 2025 was affected particularly in the second half of the year by external factors such as international tariff measures, subdued demand and declining market prices. As a result, revenue decreased slightly by 2.3 percent to EUR 2.6 billion, primarily due to lower fiber sales volumes and lower prices for fibers and pulp, which were further negatively impacted by currency developments. Nevertheless, thanks to the comprehensive Performance Program, Lenzing was able to improve its operating performance and key financial indicators compared with the previous year.
