MOD'Unica: a new name, the same unique essence

After 64 editions inspiring the textile and clothing sector in Portugal, the fair formerly known as MODTISSIMO has been renamed MOD'Unica, reaffirming its position as the only fair entirely dedicated to the Portuguese textile and clothing industry and the oldest on the Iberian Peninsula.

Why the name MOD'Unica?

+ because ‘made in portugal’ is in MODa (fashion).

+ because the fair honors its origins, continuing the legacy built over decades by MODtissimo.

+ because it serves as a model of excellence and innovation in the international textile and clothing sector.

+ because the portuguese textile and clothing industry has a unique way of creating and developing value propositions, combining tradition, know-how, technology, sustainability, and a vision for the future. This fair is a testament to that uniqueness.

+ because it aims to remain the only trade fair dedicated to the portuguese textile and clothing industry, maintaining its differentiation and striving to be increasingly unique in Europe.

A trade fair in the image of portuguese industry

MOD'Unica embodies the strength and diversity of a true textile and clothing cluster, bringing together companies from spinning, weaving, knitting, finishing, technical textiles, clothing, and home textiles, as well as specialized service providers. This integrated platform enables the development, creation, testing, and launch of products and services capable of addressing global challenges, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Ana Dinis, General Director of ATP - Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal, highlights: “MOD'Unica is a reflection of our industry’s ability to adapt and innovate while staying true to its roots. This transformation underlines our commitment to maintaining Portugal’s leadership in textiles and fashion, while reinforcing our unique identity.”

Be part of the future

Organized by ATP - Textile and Clothing Association of Portugal, with the support of Spormex Events, the next edition of MOD'Unica will take place at Exponor on 26 and 27 February. This event promises to celebrate the talent, creativity, and future vision of ‘Made in Portugal.’

Ana Dinis adds: “MOD'Unica is the ultimate showcase of the portuguese textile industry’s ability to merge tradition, technology, and sustainability. We invite professionals from around the world to experience firsthand the uniqueness that sets us apart on the global stage.”
