Techtextil Forum brings together a wealth of expertise, the latest research results, the newest product developments and progressive innovations at Techtextil from 23 to 26 April 2024. Lectures for selection by the international programme committee of the Techtextil Forum can now be submitted.

In the heart of the busy Techtextil trade fair, experts are gearing up to generate impulses on future-focused themes of the textile industry – such as sustainability, digitalisation and innovative materials – in a variety of lectures, panel talks and discussions.

“We are delighted to offer a prominent platform for outstanding and future-oriented subjects relevant to the sector, the Techtextil Forum. Nowadays, when the global industry is confronting multifaceted challenges, an exchange of ideas and information has never been more important. How can we do justice to the demands of sustainability and, simultaneously, act economically? How can we create new areas of application through innovations? And how can digitalisation make our means of production more efficient? Experts at our Techtextil Forum will offer solutions to these and many other questions. We anticipate receiving a host of interesting lecture proposals and are looking forward to offering visitors a high-quality programme of curated events that tackle current issues head-on and encourage the transfer of knowledge and an exchange of information with renowned experts from the fields of research and industry. At the Techtextil Forum, participants have the opportunity to update themselves in the shortest possible time, as well as find answers to questions of great interest to the sector and discover new solutions”, says Sabine Scharrer, Director Brand Management Technical Textiles and Textile Processing, Messe Frankfurt.

Submit papers for the Techtextil Forum now

An international expert committee will decide the content of the programme of the Techtextil Forum. Persons interested in submitting a proposal can do so via www.techtextil.de/call-for-presentations until 15 December 2023.

“If, as a researcher from industry or from the research community, you love to have close interactions with your audience then the Techtextil Forum is your place and your moment. Techtextil created the Techtextil Forum with this in mind. It is set up in the middle of Techtextil Fair maximising the opportunities for exchange of research results, ideas, opinions and is the place where collaboration opportunities are created and pursued. Participating in the Techtextil Forum as a presenter or listener is a must”, explains Jan Laperre, General Manager at Centexbel and speaker of the Techtextil Programme Committee.

In tune with the times at Techtextil Forum

The 2024 edition of Techtextil Forum will highlight ‘Innovative Materials & Applications’, ‘Sustainable and Circular Materials and Technologies’, ‘Bio-based Functional Materials’, ‘Digital Transformation and Manufacturing Technology’ and ‘Smart Textiles’, and show how rapidly the world of textiles and their possible applications is changing. New materials, especially sustainable materials, alternative raw materials and innovative technologies are driving the international industry.

Thus, it is even more important that visitors remain up to date and take advantage of the various opportunities. Thanks to the transfer of knowledge, the exchange of ideas and discussions, they can look forward to finding not only inspiration, new approaches to solutions and the latest research results but also potential partners for their projects.

The selected programme of the Techtextil Forum is available to visitors free of charge on all four days of the fair. Thanks to its central location in hall 9.1, participants can drop in at any time, e.g., between appointments, and attend lectures of interest to them, which can be viewed and planned on the website in advance.
