At this year’s international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, Sandler AG invites visitors to a world of nonwoven novelties at no. D54. High-tech materials for acoustic insulation in the home and the office or materials for transportation and for filtration—innovative nonwovens in a wide range of applications await the professional audience.

Sandler acoustic nonwovens are versatile applicable and make the home more comfortable. Insulation materials are applied in the roof and in walls, providing for a pleasant temperature and at the same time helping to conserve energy. In partition walls sound-insulating nonwovens create optimum conversational acoustics. Additionally, these textile solutions also functioning as a design feature for individual room design.

Filter media provide clean air and contribute to an optimum indoor air quality at home as well as in industrial buildings. In addition to excellent filtration performance special pocket filter media contribute to energy conservation.

But Sandler nonwovens not only ensure comfort within buildings, they also help create a pleasant atmosphere on the go and minimize the noise level—in the automobile, in buses, trains or the working vehicles at the construction site. Efficient acoustical absorbers dampen engine and driving noise, while nonwovens for seat upholstery contribute to an optimum micro-climate of the seat. Sandler turns financial stability into a catalyst for shaping the future

The Sandler Group has presented its financial figures for the past fiscal year (01/01/2025-12/31/2025). Like previous years, the year 2025 was also marked by industry-wide structural challenges and geopolitical uncertainties. Turnover was virtually stable at EUR 321 million (2024: EUR 326 million). High energy costs continue to weigh heavily on profitability. The number of employees was 975 (2024: 980). The family-owned company, which was founded in 1879 and has been run by the fifth generation since August 2025, continues to invest millions in its Schwarzenbach site despite the high production costs in Germany. As part of the long-term corporate strategy, the management team is focusing on strict cost management, further development of the product portfolio, and greater efficiency in production and administrative processes. The company does not expect a market recovery in 2026 and 2027.

Sandler AG & Phoenix Non Woven—new partnership, new opportunities

Sandler AG invests in wet-laid technology to strengthen its innovation pipeline and broaden market reach. Schwarzenbach an der Saale, Germany, July 24, 2025. Sandler AG, a global leader in nonwoven textiles, has acquired a 24.9% stake in Phoenix Non Woven GmbH & Co. KG, a pioneering company based in Lenningen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Phoenix emerged as an innovative spin-off from the former Scheufelen paper factory and specializes in the production of high-performance nonwovens using wet-laid technology.

Philipp Ebbinghaus appointed as the new CEO at Sandler AG

At its meeting yesterday, the Supervisory Board of Sandler AG made significant decisions regarding the company’s future leadership. Effective August 1, 2025, Philipp Ebbinghaus (40), currently CFO, will assume the role of CEO of Sandler AG. As the nephew of the current CEO, Dr. Christian Heinrich Sandler, he represents the fifth generation of the founding family to lead the company.

finexus® - the solution for sound insulation, thermal insulation, and sustainability in vehicles. These nonwovens prove themselves in a variety of molded part applications in the mobility sector. In interior or exterior applications of passenger and commercial vehicles, the single-polymer material finexus® offers what was previously implemented using multilayer structures. From underbody to headliner and from wheel arch liner to trunk liner; with conventional drives or in electromobility.

Speed and connectivity: Techtextil and Texprocess provided market-ready solutions for industries under pressure

With more than 36,000 visitors and 1,700 exhibitors from a total of 112 countries, Techtextil and Texprocess 2026 demonstrated how innovation comes into industrial use. The convergence of research, industry and application proved to be a breeding ground for new material solutions, manufacturing and processing technologies. Natural fibres, performance apparel, connected systems and AI-driven processing technologies emerged as key growth and future markets.

Italian Textile Machinery heads to Geneva for Index 2026

An important delegation of Italian companies will exhibit at the upcoming INDEX 2026, the world’s leading event for the nonwovens sector, taking place from May 19 to 22 in Geneva (Switzerland). Numerous Italian exhibitors will be present within the Italy Pavilion, organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and ACIMIT, an exhibition area of over 140 square meters dedicated to the latest innovations proposed by the Italian industry.
