RadiciGroup 2018 Sustainability Report now certified

RadiciGroup 2018 Sustainability Report – prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards -Core Option - has just received external assurance by Certiquality.

Dynamic equilibrium to grow together. 2018 Sustainability Report highlights.

This report highlights the economic, environmental and social performances of 23 RadiciGroup companies. Data, figures and case histories that demonstrate, once again, how the path for sustainable growth led to ever improving results, in the light of a sustainability approach based on a dynamic equilibrium that takes into account ever changing circumstances.

Thanks to its sustainability policies, RadiciGroup contributes to reaching several Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDGs).

As for the economic results, the global added value of RadiciGroup along with all the main economic parameters have been constantly improving over the last 3 years, while the Group is using fewer and fewer resources in its operations.

As for the environmental highlights, RadiciGroup focuses on the use of energy from renewable sources, more specifically from hydroelectric plants, as it is firmly committed to saving resources, carefully rationalizing their consumption. As far as social performances are concerned, great attention is paid to safety at work and employee training, with the aim of safeguarding the workforce, thus guaranteeing the best results.

RadiciGroup: 21st Sustainability Report published

RadiciGroup has published its 21st Sustainability Report, covering the year 2024, confirming more than two decades of transparency and measurement in the economic, environmental, and social dimensions. From its first Social Report in 2004 to the current reporting aligned with the GRI Universal Standards, the Group is now preparing for its next challenge: the adoption of the criteria that will be set out by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Twenty years of Sustainability Report for RadiciGroup

The RadiciGroup Sustainability Report reaches an important milestone this year: twenty years have in fact passed since the Group published its first Social Report in 2004, qualifying it as one of the pioneering companies in the realisation of voluntary non-financial reporting. The document measures the Group’s achievements and the actions it has taken to reduce its environmental impact, respect social values, and implement good business management practices.

Teijin Carbon Europe receives EcoVadis Silver status – ranked among the top 15% of evaluated companies

Teijin Carbon Europe (TCE) has been recognized for its sustainability performance and has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal in the latest assessment. In its first-ever EcoVadis evaluation, the company achieved a notable 72 out of 100 points, ranking among the top 15% of all companies evaluated worldwide, within the “Manufacture of Man-Made Fibres” category.

The region of renewable raw materials: Central German Alliance for Bioplastics

The development of sustainable plastic solutions is rapidly gaining importance in light of global environ- mental pollution, dwindling fossil resources and ambitious climate protection targets. As part of the re- gional alliance RUBIO, which brings together 18 partners from central Germany and the Berlin-Branden- burg area, the bio-based and biodegradable plastic polybutylene succinate (PBS) was comprehensively investigated, starting with the raw material, through the manufacturing process, to industrial application.

More safety and comfort for protective clothing thanks to auxetic fabrics

When everyday materials are pulled, they stretch or elongate in the direction of the pull and become narrower in cross-section. We can also observe this property in two-dimensional textiles. Auxetic structures behave differently here. They have the striking property of not changing under tensile stress or even increasing their width or thickness. These properties are advantageous, for example, in protective textiles or textile filter media. The DITF are researching auxetic fabrics for various applications.

SHIMA SEIKI returns to ShanghaiTex

Leading flat knitting solutions provider SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD. of Wakayama, Japan, together with its Hong Kong and Chinese market subsidiary SHIMA SEIKI (HONG KONG) LTD., will exhibit at the ShanghaiTex 2025 exhibition (Booth No.: Hall N3, Booth A20) held in Shanghai, China this month. This marks the return of SHIMA SEIKI to ShanghaiTex after a 14-year hiatus, its last exhibit at the show having been in 2011.
