From waste to value: State-of-the-art TRUECYCLED installations in India

Demand for recycled yarn is growing. And the number of TRUECYCLED installations in India is growing too! More and more future-facing companies are driving progress toward a more sustainable textiles industry by producing high-quality yarn from waste – through specialized equipment and process know-how from Trützschler.

TRUECYCLED is Trützschler’s complete solution for state-of-the-art recycling of pre-consumer and post-consumer textile waste. It encompasses all process steps – from cutting and tearing textile waste through to carding and drawing secondary fibers. Last but not least, Trützschler’s technological expertise enables partner companies to produce recycled yarns with the best possible quality from hard textile waste. In India, USHA YARN was awarded as the first TRUECYCLED reference customer in 2023. Now we celebrated ten more reference customers. This big milestone demonstrates that TRUECYCLED is gaining traction in India, where demand for recycled yarn is growing rapidly.

A community of committed companies

Our TRUECYCLED pioneers in India are taking action to promote more sustainable, circular value chains in the textile industry. Their yarns contain a substantial amount of textile hard waste, manufactured in a line of Trützschler machinery configured specifically for recycling. For example, all use the T-BLEND blow room line and Trützschler carding machines. This setup is the prerequisite for their market success. Eco spin yarn (based in Derabassi): Specialized in 100 percent cotton and poly-cotton blended yarn. This company produces 18 tons of recycled yarn (Ne 10 to Ne 40) per day. KS Spinning Mills (based in Panipat): Specializing in cotton and poly-cotton blended yarns with a capacity of 36 tons per day, this company produces a wide range of recycled open-end yarns from Ne 1 to Ne 40. For cotton yarn, the company uses 100 percent raw materials from pre-consumer waste. From September 9 to 11, 2025, the Trützschler Group will showcase its latest innovations at CAITME in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A highlight at booth D60 in Pavilion 2: the TC 30i, Trützschler’s next generation card. After its market introduction in 2024, customers have reported up to 40% higher productivity in man-made fiber applications while maintaining or improving yarn quality. Rieter adjusts group structure in preparation for Barmag integration

The planned acquisition of the “Barmag” Division of OC Oerlikon will create the leading system provider worldwide for natural and man-made fibers. Rieter is confident it will receive all regulatory approvals to complete the acquisition in the fourth quarter of 2025. The Rieter Group is therefore adjusting its Group structure as of January 1, 2026, to take this acquisition into account and to be able to provide an even more agile response to market challenges.

FET prepares for final exhibition of 2025

Fibre Extrusion Technology Ltd (FET) of Leeds, UK has completed its second major exhibition of 2025 at ITMA ASIA in Singapore, which is aimed at the textile and garment industry in South and Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Techtextil India 2025 commences: Ushering in a new era for functional textiles

Techtextil India 2025, a premier trade fair for technical textiles, non-wovens and composites, organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India, has opened today at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, marking its 10th edition. Solution for lower energy consumption proves itself in practice

Getzner Textil is one of KARL MAYER’s first customers to use PROSIZE with CASCADE. The innovative weaving specialist has tested the steam and condensation system by KARL MAYER and determined the energy savings it achieves. Karl-Heinz Vaaßen, Head of Textile Drying at KARL MAYER, assisted Getzner Textil’s production specialists both with the tests and with all questions relating to CASCADE.
