High accolade for Sandler AG

The nonwovens specialist once again features on the list of Bavaria's 50 top companies. Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, emphasizes the major significance of rapidly growing SMEs.

Schwarzenbach an der Saale – Sandler AG has cause for celebration: For the third time, the nonwovens specialist based in the Upper Franconian town of Schwarzenbach an der Saale (Hof district) has been recognised as one of the top 50 companies in Bavaria. The title Bayerns Best 50 is awarded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. With previous awards won in 2014 and 2017, Sandler has once again made the list of the 50 most rapidly growing, owner-operated companies in the State.

The price is awarded to SMEs that have achieved above-average increases in both revenues and employee numbers over the past 5 years – and can demonstrate a positive earnings situation. Bayerns Best 50 also recognises the innovative spirit, entrepreneurial creativity and social relevance of companies.

Sandler triumphed over a considerable number of competitors. Accounting firm Baker Tilly GmbH & Co. KG acted as an independent juror for the award. All decisions were made on the basis of objective criteria.

CEO Dr Christian Heinrich Sandler proudly relayed the positive news to his team and thanked the employees for their great dedication, special commitment, and loyalty to the firm. “It was a great honour to once again accept this distinguished award for the third time on behalf of the entire Sandler team”, emphasized Dr Christian Heinrich Sandler.

Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger explains: “The Bayerns Best 50 award recognises the 50 most successful companies in Bavaria. These companies are exemplary representatives of the power, creativity and innovative spirit of Bavarian SMEs. They have played a major role in restarting the Bavarian economy after the Corona pandemic.” The state government now aims to afford future opportunities to SMEs in Bavaria with its economic policies.

In light of the Corona pandemic, the State aims to strengthen and keep local firms as the backbone for growth, innovation and lively entrepreneurship. Although the impact of the pandemic is placing substantial pressure on the Bavarian economy at present, the “flexibility, resilience, and essence of our SMEs will be responsible for helping us overcome the crisis as quickly as possible”.

The Vice Minister of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs Regional Development and Energy, Roland Weigert, presented the award in the Imperial Hall at the Munich Residence. The award winners represented all of the administrative districts in the State.
