AMSilk appoints Jeno Schadrack as CFO ahead of key growth financing round

AMSilk GmbH (“AMSilk”), a global leader in bio engineered performance materials made from silk proteins, today announces the appointment of Jeno Schadrack as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will assume full responsibility for the finance function.

Jeno joins AMSilk at a strategically important moment for the Company as it prepares for a major upcoming institutional financing round to accelerate the industrial scale-up of its silk technology and expand its research and development activities.

He brings a broad track record in guiding companies through advanced scale up stages, with deep experience in institutional funding processes, international expansion and strategic financial leadership. He has worked closely with investors, banks and other financial stakeholders in complex financing environments. In his previous role, Jeno served as Group CFO and Managing Director at NavVis GmbH, a rapidly growing, internationally active deep tech scale up with subsidiaries in the United States, the United Kingdom, and China.

Object Carpet tests production of rPET BCF yarn on Neumag BCF line

In a joint project with Object Carpet GmbH, Denkendorf; the Institute for Textile Technology (ITA), Augsburg; and Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen GmbH (NGR), Feldkirchen, Austria, Barmag investigated the processing of recycled polyester for BCF yarn. The goal was to evaluate the fundamental suitability of 100% recycled carpet material for reuse in carpet yarn production to create a closed-loop system in carpet manufacturing. To date, commercial rPET BCF processes have been based solely on rPET from bottle pellets.
