Picanol’s new virtual booth makes it feel as if you're right on the show floor with views and videos of the machines and the ability to contact Picanol. It's a great way to explore new weaving technology! The link below lets you download a brand new app (iOS, Android and Windows) to discover the Picanol booth.   Picanol will be exhibiting in H3, booth C20. On display will be 2 OMNIplus Summum machines, 1 OMNIplus-X, 1 OptiMax-i and 2 GTMax-i machines, all demonstrating the flexibility, speed and user-friendliness of the Picanol range. Also at the fair are 1 OptiMax-i machine on the Stäubli booth, 1 OMNIplus Summum on the Bonas booth and 1 GTMax-i on the Shanghai Tongxiang booth.

Picanol opens its new training and service center in Tashkent (Uzbekistan)

Last week, Picanol inaugurated a new training and service center in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), in collaboration with its Uzbek agent, Baror Group. This state-of-the-art facility is strategically located to serve Picanol’s Central Asian customers more effectively. The opening ceremony was organized during CAITME 2024, which is the largest textile machinery exhibition in Central Asia, and it provided the ideal platform to showcase the new center to many industry professionals and customers from Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, and Tajikistan, among other countries.

PICANOL to showcase the all-new ULTIMAX rapier weaving machine for the first time in Türkiye at ITM 2024

The ITM 2024 exhibition takes place at the TÜYAP Fair Convention & Congress Center in Istanbul from June 4 - 8, 2024. At this important event, the Ultimax will be presented for the very first time in Türkiye at the Picanol booth (Hall 8, Booth 802). Furthermore, there will also be an OmniPlus-i Connect airjet weaving machine on display and the novelties of the digital platform PicConnect will be highlighted.

New study shows low environmental impact by Cotton made in Africa Organic Cotton from Tanzania

Today, the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) is announcing the results of a comprehensive life-cycle analysis (LCA) for cotton produced in Tanzania under the Cotton made in Africa Organic (CmiA Organic) standard. The study emphasises the small ecological footprint of CmiA Organic verified cotton. This can largely be traced back to the absence of synthetic pesticides, artificial fertilisers, and artificial irrigation. Consequently, CmiA Organic cotton can help the textile industry meet regulatory requirements as well as science-based targets. The results also show that the consequences of climate change threaten the livelihoods of these cotton farmers, even though the type of agriculture they practise barely contributes to climate change.

A total of 3.366 trade visitors and around 560 exhibitors gathered in Munich, with the event already kicking off successfully on DAY 0, which received highly positive feedback for its interactive format. Despite challenging conditions caused by the public transport strike in Munich, the event saw strong attendance and a consistently high level of activity across both exhibition days.
