ITM 2026 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Mayer & Cie. Global. For the first time, the company will present itself to the international textile machinery industry in its new setup: combining proven circular knitting technology engineered in Germany with a clear commitment to its Albstadt headquarters and an internationally shaped, agile management approach.

Together with its Turkish partner Mayer Mümessillik, Mayer & Cie. Global will showcase two OV 3.2 QCe machines in Istanbul from June 9 to 13, 2026 – while also presenting the future direction of the brand: evolving from a pure hardware specialist into a solution provider for individual fabric requirements.

“ITM is one of the most important trade fairs in the textile machinery industry, and Türkiye is one of our key markets,” says Stefan Bühler, Area Sales Manager at Mayer & Cie. Global. “We are delighted to present the new direction of Mayer & Cie. Global at such an important exhibition.”

Like many of his colleagues, Stefan Bühler is part of the “new old” team behind the Mayer & Cie. brand. The team continues to grow steadily, especially with experienced employees returning to production. They are currently working at full speed to ensure that circular knitting machines will once again leave the factory in Albstadt-Tailfingen this summer.

Proven German engineering from Mayer & Cie.

Together with Mayer Mümessillik, the Mayer & Cie. Global exhibition team will present proven Mayer & Cie. circular knitting machines at ITM. The exhibits include two OV 3.2 QCe models, a circular knitting machine for double jersey applications and one of Mayer & Cie.’s best-selling machine series.

The OV QCe is available in diameters ranging from 30 to 36 inches. The machine is capable of producing fabrics in fine gauges up to E 40; one of the two exhibits on display at ITM features this capability.

“These machines successfully address the premium interlock segment, both in Türkiye and in many other markets worldwide,” says Stefan Bühler.

A new approach for a premium brand

In addition to technologically sophisticated hardware, which will continue to define every Mayer & Cie. product, Mayer & Cie. Global is placing greater focus on the added value for its customers. The company’s aim is to provide the optimal knitting solution for a specific fabric requirement.

“The product that allows our customer to stand out from the competition is what justifies our machine,” says Xu Hongjie, the new owner and Managing Director of Mayer & Cie. Global.

At the same time, the company aims to make working with a Mayer & Cie. machine as simple and user-friendly as possible.

The beating heart in Albstadt

Xu Hongjie clearly commits Mayer & Cie. to the principle of “Made in Germany.” The brand will continue to target the premium segment with its well-known broad product portfolio.

Albstadt remains the global center for research and development, the production site for premium machines, and the manufacturing location for key precision components. Xu Hongjie himself is working full-time on site at the company headquarters in Albstadt.

With regard to the cooperation with Huixing, the guiding principle is to leverage synergies and complement each other’s portfolios. In concrete terms, this means that Huixing serves the mid- to lower-price market segments with its machines, while Mayer & Cie. operates in its technologically sophisticated and demanding premium market segment.

Strong network of global representatives

In addition to its experienced team of employees, Mayer & Cie. Global aims to continue working with its long-standing and highly competent representatives wherever possible – including in Türkiye.

Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Istanbul, Mayer Mümessillik Tekstil Tic. Ltd. Şti. has been a trusted partner of Mayer & Cie. for more than 30 years. As the exclusive representative for circular knitting machines in Türkiye, the company has established itself as a key player in the country’s textile machinery market.

A new chapter for a heritage brand

With these strategic principles, Mayer & Cie. remains true to its engineering roots while becoming significantly more agile and market-oriented.

“Listen, execute, improve – and act fast,” summarizes Managing Director Xu his philosophy.

To achieve this, the company relies on shorter decision-making paths, less complexity, and open communication. The goal is to combine proven German engineering expertise with greater agility, customer focus, and speed.

ITM 2026 therefore marks not only the trade fair appearance of a well-established textile machinery manufacturer, but also the beginning of a new chapter for Mayer & Cie. Global.
