The Road Ahead with ITM Texpo Eurasia 2013

After ITM Texpo Eurasia 2012, ITM decided to hold another fair in 2013 rather than 2014. Companies that want to maintain their position in both the national and regional market participation began to submit their applications immediately. The next ITM Texpo Eurasia after 2013, will be held in the second half of 2016…

+ Next Fair will be held in 2016…

Held between 21-24 April 2012, ITM Texpo Eurasia 2012 Fair showed us once again that Turkey is a textile country and will remain so. To this end, and to keep pace with global developments the textile industry is developing innovations in technology to meet demands. The interest in latest technology exhibited at ITM Texpo Eurasia 2012 resulted in significant investments in this area. As the Turkish Government is aware that the textile sector is one of the leading sectors in Turkey they have introduced stimulus packages, launched new applications and developed new measures for importing to increase power & interest in this sector. In the last year alone textile V.A.T. rates have been reduced, while tax rates on imported of fabric and ready to wear garments have been increased and decisions on rationing for quotas on cotton yarn have been introduced. These all served to raise the competitiveness of the Turkish textile sector and increase in the production capacity has already been observed. The announcement of these investment incentives immediately triggered new investment.

While these incentives accelerated investment and promotion of this sector, ITM Texpo Eurasia decided to take the next step into 2013. The fact that there are no other international textile machinery exhibitions scheduled for 2013 was a crucial factor in this decision. As the usual ITM fair scheduled for 2012 will no longer take place, and the next is not scheduled until 2016, ITM Texpo Eurasia 2013 will be the last exhibition held in Turkey where parties involved in this sector of the industry can meet for the next 4 years. Having evaluated the global requirements for investment orientations and activities, the firms participating in ITM fairs and international textile machine manufacturers were consulted in making the decision that 2013 was the most suitable date for the next textile machinery exhibition held in Turkey. Therefore the ITM Texpo Eurasia 2013 Fair held between 29 May – 1 June 2013 will be that last ITM fair until the second half of 2016. So, ITM looks forward to receiving applications from those who wish to participate in, maintain their position in and concentrate emphasis on the introduction of new technology in the textile business in Turkey and the surrounding areas for the ITM Texpo Eurasia 2013 Fair, very soon.

At this year’s Techtextil, Gebr. Otto places its versatility at the center of its presentation. In addition to spinning, twisting and dyeing – traditionally focused on fine cotton – textile processors will also find a competent development partner for technical specialty solutions. The Dietenheim-based spinning mill has now built up a decade of experience in the production of technical yarns, particularly from aramids. A new hygiene segment has also been established, where yarns for medical and hygiene products are currently being produced. In the future, this department could also develop textile products for the food sector. Gebr. Otto will once again be present at the BW-i joint stand, booth D81, hall 12.1.
