Returning in 2026, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition will take place from 11 to 13 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. With rising daily pressures and increasing sleep disorders, demand for high-quality, functional, and sustainable bedding solutions is surging. The fair will spotlight innovative bedding products and technologies designed to meet these evolving consumer needs within this expanding market. Last year’s edition welcomed over 25,000 visitors from 85 countries and regions, reflecting a 7.5% increase in attendance and broader global participation.

As the industry prioritises healthier sleep, the 2026 fair is set to further connect buyers and suppliers, driving innovation in sleep solutions worldwide.

Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, expects fairgoers will have much to be enthused about next spring: “Our fair is more than just a sourcing platform; it is a vibrant showcase for the latest products featuring new materials, technologies, and innovative features. Industry players rely on this show to stay ahead of market trends. The upcoming edition will spotlight captivating bedding advancements alongside fringe events which cater to rising interest in China in products that help improve sleep quality, including the return of the Sleep Aid Summit. We encourage both domestic and international industry players to join us and share their latest works, connecting directly with target customers at this dynamic platform.”

Comfort, quality, and innovation: the new drivers of China’s bedding market

The rapid growth of China’s sleep economy continues to shape market dynamics, projected to grow to RMB 658.7 billion (equivalent to USD 92.6 billion) by 2027[1], reflecting a rising market demand for sleep-related solutions. According to the 2025 China Sleep Health Survey Report, 65.9% of surveyed individuals reported sleep-related issues, with over half actively adopting intervention strategies[2]. As health-conscious lifestyles and awareness of sleep’s impact on well-being continue to grow, consumers are showing a stronger willingness to invest in premium, comfortable bedding that improves daily rest and overall life quality.

The upcoming fair presents an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their latest bedding innovations in line with these trends and to gain valuable insights through exchanges with industry professionals. In addition to bedding, the fair will present a comprehensive range of home textile products, including towelling, rugs, table and kitchen linen, home textile technologies, textile design, upholstery, soft fabrics, curtain fabrics and more, with a particular emphasis on sustainable, innovative and trend-driven items.

These broad offerings highlight the opportunities at the fair, as exhibitor Ms Huang Chunjie, Deputy General Manager of Sales of Yantai North Home Textile Co Ltd, noted at the 2025 edition: “Participating in the fair has deepened my understanding of market trends and consumer preferences, which is beneficial for our sales. China’s home textiles market has great potential, with increasing demand for sustainable and innovative products. Consumers are prioritising high-quality sleep and are more conscious of environmental protection, prompting us to develop functional products like sleep aids and antibacterial solutions.”

Alongside a strong array of exhibitors, the fair will feature a fringe programme designed to keep attendees informed about emerging developments, trends, and key industry insights. The Sleep Aid Summit is a key event, which will highlight the integration of smart home products with bedding, through forums and the release of influential sleep reports that foster valuable knowledge exchange. Additionally, the Sleeping Aid Display Area will showcase a curated selection of bedding products arranged into five comfort-driven displays, each illustrating future innovation directions for sleep technology and wellness. These interactive events will offer fairgoers unique opportunities to engage with the latest advancements and industry experts.

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA).
