Yarn Expo Autumn to open on Monday with record-breaking 500-plus exhibitors

From 15 – 17 October, more than 500 exhibitors from 14 countries & regions will showcase an unrivalled range of yarn & fibre products in hall 8.1 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. These exhibitors, as the largest gathering ever seen at the fair, are set to welcome a wide variety of visitors throughout the textile supply chain next week, solidifying the status of Yarn Expo as the leading first stop of every textile sourcing season. The fair will take place this edition alongside ITMA ASIA + CITME.

For those looking for the industry’s latest innovations, Yarn Expo Autumn is the place to be. The reliability of buyer quality has once again attracted big-name industry players – including PT Indo-Rama, Chemtax, Shandong Ruyi, Jiangsu Shenghong and Jilin Chemical Fiber Group – who choose the fair as a platform to debut new products each year. The fair’s product groups have also expanded in recent years, reflecting market needs, to now include:

New international exhibitors join Yarn Expo Autumn

Significant new business partnerships in the yarn & fibre industry are anticipated at the fair, with new international sourcing options this edition. Highlighted big-name newcomers at the fair include Safilin from France, offering premium linen products developed through the brand’s extensive history, and Italy’s Sinterama Asia who will show their range of 1,200 diverse chemical fibres and end uses.

One of the world’s largest single site spinners, Novetex Textiles from Hong Kong, will feature super soft merino in a wide range of colours, along with sustainable options in glen merino and 100% lamb’s wool. Another not-to-be-missed highlight is Parkdale Mills from the US, the world’s leading manufacturer of spun yarns, who will showcase cotton varieties, such as open end fibres, ring spun, air jet and vortex, in different blends.

Even more choice at the country & region and group pavilions

Another international must-see is the Pakistan Zone, returning to the fair this year with a strong collection of the country’s leading yarn & fibre exhibitors. Highlights include Abtex International who will showcase their new mélange blends and fancy yarns, Fabcot’s cotton yarns and greige fabrics, and International Textile’s 100% MJS yarn and fabrics. Meanwhile, Texstyle will be a worthwhile visit for those in keeping with sustainability trends, as they highlight their recycled and regenerated yarns from cotton, polyester, acrylic and wool.

Joining them are more than 50 exhibitors in the India Pavilion, organised by Texprocil, while domestic exhibitors can be found at the Fancy Yarn Zone, Chemical Fibre Zone, Cotton Yarn Zone and Wool / Linen Zone. Group pavilions at the fair include the Sateri Pavilion and Birla Satellite.

Yarn Expo Autumn is Asia’s leading trade platform for the yarn and fibre industry, with quality suppliers from around the world showcasing natural and blended yarns including cotton, wool, flax, and man-made fibres and yarns, as well as specialty products including elastic, fancy and blended yarns. Which is why next week, at Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Shenzhen 2026, the organisers have made special efforts to integrate textile topics such as materials innovation, holistic sustainability, digitalisation and AI. Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2026 will spotlight forward-looking design directions and evolving consumer demand, as the global home and lifestyle market continues to adapt to sustainability priorities, emotional well-being, and diversified living spaces. Taking place from 18 – 20 August 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the fair will present its latest trend theme, ‘BREATHE UP!’, developed in collaboration with leading international trend forecaster NellyRodi™ Agency, alongside expanded product categories, and the debut of the Home Textiles Lifestyle Zone.

From advanced fibres to eco‑focused yarns: Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 set to welcome global industry to Shanghai

From 25 – 27 August, Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 will return to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) to reinforce its role as a key meeting point for the global yarn and fibre industry. With over 22,000 visitors, the previous edition gathered nearly 580 leading exhibitors from 16 countries and regions, showcasing advanced developments and creative applications that support innovative, sustainable textile design. The upcoming edition will not only present an extensive range of fibre and yarn products, but will also feature a comprehensive fringe programme, including industry forums and trend display areas, providing innovative upstream enterprises with a stage to introduce next‑generation materials and sustainable concepts.

New spinning package with two-step filtration for recycled yarns and more

At the ITM in Istanbul, BB Engineering unveiled its new, patented ValuePack spinning package for the first time, which features a two-stage filtration system. This is particularly beneficial for re-cycling processes. Until now, spinning packs have used either metal powder (“sand”) or filter candles as filter media. Both options are suitable for differ-ent applications, and each has its own specific advantages and dis-advantages.

Mongolia: Workshop on Italian textile technologies kicks off in Ulaanbaatar

The workshop dedicated to Italian textile technologies will kick off in Ulaanbaatar from 21 to 23 June 2026. Focused on the most advanced innovative solutions for the textile industry, the initiative will bring together 13 Italian textile machinery manufacturers, confirming the growing interest in strengthening industrial cooperation between the two countries and highlighting Mongolia’s strategic importance for Italian textile machinery producers.
