Monforts acquires the ‘know how’ of coating specialist Timatec

Timatec has a portfolio of coating units for virtually all applications – including solvents treatment and for wider width fabrics. Its product range includes ‘knife over air’, ‘knife over roller’. ’magnetic rollers’, and ‘printing-head coating’ options.

Due to its small sales force Timatec had only been active in the Central European markets resulting in excellent references. Manufacturing for the company’s coating machine modules will take place in Monforts high tech manufacturing facility Montex Ges.m.b.H, St Stefan, near Klagenfurt, Austria; opened more than 33 years ago. Timatec’s former director will support Monforts as a consultant.

With the ‘know-how’ acquisition, Monforts continues to expand its competence for coating textiles and technical textiles for the benefit of it’s customers by offering a complete coating line from a single source.

Monforts is able to provide a worldwide distribution network for sales and service of all its coating systems with a proven technology in the market place. Demand by the market segment for coated fabrics is predicted to continue increasing.
