Eight new apprentices start at Mahlo

The machine building company Mahlo GmbH + Co KG in Saal welcomed a total of eight new apprentices on 1 September. They are now starting their professional future in five different trades. Welcome days are intended to facilitate the start into the new, exciting phase of life.

Training is a priority at the machine builder in Saal

"Before the training starts, the newcomers will have the opportunity to get to know us as an employer and their colleagues better," explains Andreas Beil. He is not only responsible for the industrial training, but also, together with the commercial manager Yvonne Pieper, for the various programme points of the first training week. On the very first day, the new apprentices were welcomed by the management and the responsible trainers and comprehensively informed about their training company. The opportunity to make first contacts with each other was offered by the joint pizza lunch at noon. In the course of the next week, the young people can look forward to company tours, team games and barbecues with all apprentice cohorts.

The fields of activity of the new apprentices are a colourful mix. Two of the future specialists will be working in the commercial sector, while one of the apprentices will be joining the IT specialists. The production area will receive the largest increase with two mechatronics technicians, one electronics technician for industrial engineering and one industrial mechanic.

The training of skilled workers for its own needs has a long tradition at Mahlo; young people have been trained regularly in the company for many decades. "It is important to us to train the junior employees ourselves according to our high standards and to bind them to us in the long term," says managing director Rainer Mestermann.
