EFI brings high-performance display graphics, packaging, and textile printing innovations to FESPA 2026

New technologies designed to deliver speed, quality, and flexibility across today’s most demanding print applications

Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI™) is bringing a broad range of new hybrid, roll-to-roll, and textile inkjet innovations to FESPA Global Print Expo 2026, taking place 19-22 May at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. Visitors to the EFI stand (Hall 3, #C85) will see the new EFI VUTEk M3h X hybrid LED printer, new EFI VUTEk® FabriVU® 340 i8 eight-colour dye sublimation printer, the EFI VUTEk X5r roll-to-roll LED printer, and the EFI VUTEk Q3h XP seven-colour hybrid printer in action, each designed to help sign and display producers scale output, diversify applications, and drive more profitable growth.

“FESPA is a global meeting point for print innovation, and it’s the ideal platform to demonstrate how EFI technologies help our customers grow and adapt in an increasingly dynamic market,” said Frank Pennisi, CEO. “From soft signage to superwide production and high-end hybrid printing, our portfolio is designed to give print providers the flexibility and efficiency they need to stay competitive and profitable across every segment. We are especially excited to publicly launch two of our newest offerings, the VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8 dye sublimation and VUTEk M3h X hybrid presses here at FESPA, and how they help our customers put brilliance in motion.”

Brand accurate soft signage at scale with the new EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8

Making its debut at FESPA, the 3.4-metre VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8 dye-sublimation printer with inline fixation is designed to meet the color-fidelity demands of retail, event, and branded environments with eight-colour printing that reproduces a wider gamut, renders richer tones and smoother gradients, and more accurately matches brand colors.

The VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8 printer’s eight colours (CMYK + Orange + Blue + choice of two light inks – light cyan, light magenta, or light black) expand the printable gamut well beyond four-colour printing for the reproduction of challenging Pantone® colours, especially oranges and blues, and produces smoother gradients, skin tones, and pastels with light inks. The printer delivers up to 2,400 dpi resolution and four-level greyscale printing with 4-18 pL drop sizes for smooth transitions and crisp detail.

Where brand-critical applications must look exactly right across multiple materials and dozens or hundreds of installations, the VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8 printer delivers production-level speeds up to 375 square metres per hour, and features inline fixation and advanced media control to print directly to a wide range of polyester-based materials and sublimate in a single step – with runs ready for finishing straight off the printer. For even more application possibilities, the inline sublimation can be turned off for transfer paper printing.

Engineered for the applications that matter most to brand-driven customers, the VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8 printer is ideal for in-store signage and point-of-sale displays, front-lit graphics, and lightboxes and SEG wall graphics where backlit colour must hold up under direct illumination.

Premium hybrid performance with the EFI VUTEk Q3h XP printer

EFI will also be showing the VUTEk Q3h XP high-performance hybrid LED printer in a new seven-colour configuration. Engineered for demanding production environments requiring excellence in both performance and print quality, the VUTEk Q3h XP printer offers versatile flatbed and roll-to-roll printing capabilities, production-level throughput, and advanced media handling and automation options, making it a perfect solution for businesses looking to address current labour challenges and cost-reduction initiatives.

The new seven-colour configuration includes light cyan, light magenta, and light black for an expanded colour gamut, perfect neutral grey balance, and smooth pastels. Optional white and clear ink and multilayer printing make it perfectly suited to premium applications, such as high-end retail displays, backlit graphics, and event and exhibition graphics.

High-volume roll-to-roll production with the EFI VUTEk X5r printer

EFI is also highlighting the 5.2-metre VUTEk X5r roll-to-roll LED printer, engineered for high-volume indoor and outdoor graphics production with an emphasis on workflow automation and reduced operator intervention.

The printer integrates a range of intelligent automation technologies designed to streamline production from print to finished graphic. These include automatic Y-slitters for inline trimming, Smart Slide automated job collection and stacking, and EFInsight™, EFI’s cloud-based analytics platform for monitoring production data, performance metrics, and system efficiency.

The VUTEk X5r printer will feature the InSpec AI option, an industry first AI-powered quality control system that continuously scans printed output during production to identify defects, support real-time correction, and reduce waste and reprints. The technology creates a digital record of printed output for traceability and post-production analysis while helping operators maintain consistent print quality with less manual intervention.

Innovation across every market

EFI will showcase the capabilities of its single-pass digital inkjet innovations built on the proven EFI Nozomi platform, highlighting continued expansion of the portfolio for both packaging and display graphics production. Featured technologies will include the new 1.7-metre-wide EFI Nozomi 17000 SD platform for signage and display applications, combining outstanding productivity with the versatility to address a broad range of graphics applications, alongside the evolved EFI Nozomi 17000 LED platform for sustainable, high-graphic-quality corrugated packaging and display production.

Sample textile applications will be featured on the EFI stand to showcase output of latest technologies, including the EFI Reggiani ecoTERRA water-based pigment ink solution. Designed to simplify textile production by eliminating the need for pre-treatment, steaming, washing, and stentering, the ecoTERRA solution removes multiple process steps and reduces the requirement for large, pre-treated fabric inventories and ancillary equipment. It helps lower operational costs while significantly reducing water, energy, and chemical consumption, and supports faster turnaround times and more sustainable, on-demand production across a wide range of textile applications.

Also highlighted will be the new EFI Reggiani ecoNEXT Plus industrial digital textile printer engineered for direct to fabric pigment printing, It combines industrial scale production efficiency, outstanding print quality, and a more sustainable end to end workflow in a single, fully integrated solution. Powered by Reggiani ecoTERRA pigment inks, the Reggiani NEXT Plus printer features up to seven colours for a wide, vivid, and consistent colour gamut and is optimised for printing on non‑elastic woven fabrics. The all-in-one system combines the ink system, colour feeding, fixation unit, and EFI Reggiani QUERY production analytics to streamline production, reduce environmental impact, and unlocks new application opportunities—without compromising performance.
