Elleti Group showcases its dual soul at Bluezone: Italian tradition and creativity, global sustainability.

Elleti Group, the leading manufacturer based in Verona, Italy, specialized in denim treatments and garment making, takes the stage at the 2022 edition of Bluezone in Munich. The Italian company answers as usual to the call to responsible denim fashion presenting a special capsule collection with Wiser Wash, at the Wiser Tech stand (Hall 6 Booth A01).

The Italian company doubles its presence at the Munich show presenting a capsule collection with Wiser Wash and joining the Italian Luster project.

These garments get their style inspiration from a clever blend of historical trends, merging timeless icons with a constant look into the future, to address a present that speaks the language of sustainability. The capability of building a bridge between tradition and innovation is what characterizes most Elleti Group, the company led by Luigi Lovato and known in the industry for holding a historical memory of jeans, collected through the M.O.D.E. (Museum Of Denim by Elleti Group).

The capsule was treated using Wiser Wash, the patented and award-winning ozone bleaching process aiming at revolutionizing the denim finishing processes for the entire fashion industry by using only 200 ml water for the decolorization, while creating amazing denim looks with even brighter contrasts. As exclusive partner of Wiser Wash for Europe and the Mediterranean area, with Portugal being the only exception, Elleti Group has significantly reduced the amount of resources used in traditional garment treatment process. This washing method eliminates the use of pumice stone and toxic chemicals, while drastically reducing water consumption throughout the process. In addition, the efficiency of the process lowers chemical and mechanical stress on fabric fibers as compared to traditional treatments, guaranteeing greater garment robustness and longevity.

In Munich, Elleti Group is also joining the Italian Luster, a project showcasing the synergies of the Italian supply chain, bringing together virtuous companies from northern Italy among its participants: Elleti Group, ACM., FashionArt, Berto Industria Tessile, Olimpias Group, Cadica Group. At Hall 6 Booth B12, the Catalyzer is the perfect stage to present the excellence of the Made in Italy denim industry based on quality, innovation and research.

New study shows low environmental impact by Cotton made in Africa Organic Cotton from Tanzania

Today, the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) is announcing the results of a comprehensive life-cycle analysis (LCA) for cotton produced in Tanzania under the Cotton made in Africa Organic (CmiA Organic) standard. The study emphasises the small ecological footprint of CmiA Organic verified cotton. This can largely be traced back to the absence of synthetic pesticides, artificial fertilisers, and artificial irrigation. Consequently, CmiA Organic cotton can help the textile industry meet regulatory requirements as well as science-based targets. The results also show that the consequences of climate change threaten the livelihoods of these cotton farmers, even though the type of agriculture they practise barely contributes to climate change.
