JEC world 2020 unveils “The JEC composites industry programs”

JEC World, the international composites trade show (March 3 to 5, Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center) is presenting the JEC Composites Industry Programs, a range of conferences and discussion groups bringing together the decision-makers of the end-users industries from around the world. This year, the sessions will focus on the on the automotive, aerospace, and sports & health industries, and cover all issues relating to composites in these strategic sectors.

A golden opportunity for participants!

Each day, industry decision-makers using composites will come together to discuss the latest developments in composites in their respective sectors. Large international firms like ArianeGroup, GE Aviation, Embraer, VoltAero, Ford Motor Company, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance”, Porsche, Volkswagen, Corima, Look Cycle or O?ssur will be presenting their solutions.

The purpose of these sessions is to share with these decision-makers the latest trends and innovations in the entire value chain of composites.

Furthermore, through the “Executive Guided Tours”, selected participants will be able to explore the subjects addressed in exclusive, made-to-measure visits to the trade fair and the Innovation Planet of each sector, punctuated by encounters with innovative exhibitors.

Each day brings a different theme!

Over the course of JEC World, each day will be devoted to a specific industry and its use of composites:

  • On March 3, talks will focus on aerospace and center on the theme: “Towards a more sustainable strategy”. The topics of aircraft weight reduction, recyclability of materials in the composites industry, and waste reduction will be addressed. This session will take place on the Agora stage from 4:35pm to 6:00pm and will be moderated by Sarah Cruddas, Space journalist, with Herve? Gilibert, CTO of ArianeGroup as keynote speaker.
  • On March 4, discussions will give prominence to the automotive industry with the following central theme: “The right material in the right place”. The topic of cost-performance ratios will be tackled, as will the subject of multi-material solutions. This session will take place on the Agora stage from 2:35pm to 4:00pm and will be moderated by Dale Brosius, CCO of IACMI with Alan Banks, UK Innovations Supervisor at Ford Motor Company as keynote speaker.
  • Lastly, on March 5, the sports and health industries will be in the spotlight with the theme “The Composites Trifecta: Design Flexibility, Performance, and Comfort”. The issues of ratios between weight, lightness and safety, rigidity optimization, and athletes’ individual needs for tailor-made solutions will be examined in particular. This session will take place on the Agora stage from 2:00pm to 3:30pm and will be moderated by Max Thouin, Sales Development Manager of Hexcel with Ste?phane Houdet, handisport tennis player as keynote speaker.
