Smart.Pattern macros accelerate Cad.Assyst

Stepping lines (c) 2013 Assyst
A pattern can change many times during the development of the collection. Any alteration to the outer fabric results in more changes to all sizes of lining materials, interlinings and button-holes in all sizes, for instance. These alterations are routine, but they require time and concentration.

Welcome to Smart.Pattern.... Smart.Pattern as a pattern construction assistant uses new macros in the construction processes. It can take over successively linked work steps, all the way to complete basic pattern construction including grading – and always according to the specified construction method. This will save valuable time in the coordination procedure – so it is possible to rely on the accurate results and turn the attention to creative activities, size & fit processing and documentation for every model. The advantages hereby are uniform standards, relief from routine tasks, time savings and the preservation of special knowledge.

Another special feature of Smart.Pattern macros is their customized settings – tailored to match the procedures and requirements of every individual company.

One example is pants alteration based on shrinkage allowance values. On behalf of a shrink macro it is possible to determine the shrinkage behavior of different pant fabrics, materials resp. colors. This behavior can be calculated in advance over all available sizes, only in one step. Beside having a huge time saving, it provides mistakes in the production.

Smart.Pattern comes with the Cad.Assyst license (from the 20.10 version). And the module is easy to use – only a basic knowledge of Cad.Assyst is required.

The automation of routine work with Smart.Pattern is so successful that many companies are already working with hundreds of macros. And easier management facilitates the use of this important work aid in apparel development.
