BONAS at ITM Istanbul 2013

The amazingly compact Bonas Si11-22 with 10560 hooks (c) 2013 Bonas
Bonas (Hall 8 – Booth 816 ), Inventors, Innovators and Pioneers of the electronic Jacquard, will present and demonstrate at ITM a comprehensive range of their latest innovation.

Double Hook Capacity, Double Design Freedom, Double End Density,…on the most condensed jacquard in the market. Bonas has an established reputation as both an innovator and a pioneer in electronic jacquard machinery. Visitors to ITM Istanbul will be amazed at the new Si Bonas Jacquard machine which will be exhibited on their booth 816 in Hall 8. The Si (Shed Innovator), introduced at ITM with 10560 hooks, is over 40% more condensed then any existing electronic jacquard with the same hook capacity, resulting in better accessibility, higher ergonomics and better functionality. More condensed does not only mean smaller, less deep and less high, but also over 1 ton lighter, compared with any comparable jacquard, whilst retaining its stability.

Low power consumption: Although total power consumption of any Bonas jacquard is already amongst the lowest, it’s needless to say the Si has highly reduced power consumption. When evaluating power consumption, both drive and selection mechanism must be taken into account. Fewer and lighter drive parts allow much lower drive power consumption and selection power is highly reduced by the newly developed micro-selector. A double gain for the customer!

High design flexibility - High speed - High productivity: With the Si you don’t have to compromise between design flexibility and speed limitation inherent to big hook size jacquards. The Si - undoubtedly the lightest in its range – has a much lower drive torque and high speed weaving with multi hook capacity is no longer a dream. Double design freedom and higher productivity, another double gain for the customer!

Easy maintenance – better ergonomics: Grease points are now accessible without removing the machinery covers. Our new and patented micro-selector, with only one moving part is exempt from any maintenance or lubrication – a major advantage when considering Jacquard sizes of 6144 hooks or above. Even the bigger jacquards, such as the exhibited Si with 10560 hooks, have far better accessibility and ergonomics leading to time saving. Less and faster, once more a double gain!

100% Diagnostics: Micro-selector simplicity. Bonas’ micro-selector, with its inherent 100% electronic principles, gives 100% diagnostic. Other important factors – temperature, air-flow, design integrity and many others – are closely monitored, managed and cared for, so you don’t have to. Relax, safe in the knowledge of fault free fabric, even at cold start-up! The whole intelligent system is powered by current drive technology, delivering the correct amount of power, always, despite whatever inconsistencies your outside power supply may have.
