Cotton yarn exhibitors prepare for spring showcase at Yarn Expo Spring 2025

Cotton is known to be the most commonly used natural fibre in the textile industry. Leading fashion houses and retailers are increasingly incorporating organic cotton into their manufacturing processes and supply chains, resulting in a significant rise in related yarn and fibre demand. Yarn Expo Spring, scheduled for 11 – 13 March 2025, will offer ample opportunities within the cotton sub-sector and a range of suppliers showcasing sustainable options. Overall, over 500 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions are expected to participate, including nearly 90 specifically in the cotton category.

In addition to traditional cotton yarn, the market is witnessing a growing interest in sustainable options. Yarn made from recycled cotton aligns seamlessly with the circular fashion trend and attracts a broad eco-conscious consumer base, with manufacturers poised to generate significant income. Moreover, the global organic cotton market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 44.4% until 20301.

With the world’s second-largest spinning capacity, second only to China, India has established itself as a critical supplier of cotton yarn to the international market, commanding a significant 31.2% share of the market2. At Yarn Expo Spring, cotton exhibitors from China, India, Pakistan, and beyond are gearing up to meet strong global demand, with buyers able to source a wide range of related products.

As a longstanding pavilion, the renowned Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) will provide a platform to showcase their members’ expertise across various yarn and fibre categories at the India Pavilion. The product scope covers pure cotton carding, pure cotton combing / compact spinning, viscose, blended yarn, synthetic yarn, recycled yarn, organic / GOTS yarn, spandex yarn, polyester-cotton blends, and more. Highlighted exhibitors include:

Amar International: Amar is one of the leading exporters of Indian cotton yarns, raw cotton, cotton waste for recycling purposes, woven & knitted fabrics, and chemical dyes. Its high quality "AMAR" products have garnered meaningful recognition, winning the Silver Award for Export of Cotton Yarns 2017 – 2018.

GDJD International Pvt Limited: a supplier of high-quality yarns and fabrics sourced from India’s top spinning mills, exporting primarily to Belgium, Brazil, China, Colombia, Korea, Poland, Portugal, Peru, Spain, and the US. Their cotton yarns meet the 'Uster 5%' quality standard, with a strong focus on contamination and evenness control for superior fabrics and garments. They are also one of the top exporters in India with OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification, upholding eco-friendly products that conform to all conventional yarn and fabric standards.

Speaking at previous edition of Yarn Expo Spring, Mr Murali Balkrishna, Joint Director of The Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council, said: “The continued attendance of Indian suppliers is due to the effectiveness of Yarn Expo as a business platform and the attraction of the vast Chinese market. India's textile industry chain and competitive advantage in quality and price have drawn many buyers to our booth, especially for India's popular twisted cotton yarn. We are grateful for this international platform and the valuable opportunities to expand our exhibitors’ global presence.”
