New date, new location for CHIC Spring Shanghai

Asia's largest fashion fair, CHIC SPRING SHANGHAI, will move to Nanjing from May 20-22, 2022.

The latest developments caused by the virus variant Omicron in China and especially in Shanghai prompted the CHIC organizers to take this step.

The CHIC fashion fairs took place in 2021 with the greatest security measures.

With this move, the organizers are also taking into account the interests of international exhibitors and visitors. Various international joint participations will be represented.

The province of Jiangsu with its capital Nanjing includes numerous fashion clusters such as the Changshu Garment Industrial Cluster for leather and downwear, menswear, womenswear, the Suzhou Garment Industrial Cluster or the Xinqiao Knitwear industrial cluster in Jiangyin. Nanjing itself is known for its womenswear industry.

At the state of the art Nanjing International Expo Center, CHIC will offer in halls four, five and six a concentrated overview of the latest trend developments in fashion to the trade visitors. CHIC SPRING as a fashion and lifestyle fair shows the areas of womenswear, menswear, kidswear, denim, shoes and bags, accessories, designers and streetwear in clearly arranged segments.

The trade fair team is working on innovations at the trade fair with the highest priorities and will now focus all marketing on the new date.

CHIC is organized by Beijing Fashion Expo Co., Ltd. and China World Exhibitions and sponsored by the China National Garment Association, the China World Trade Center and the Subcouncil of Textile Industry (CCPIT).

Design, innovation and sustainability propel VIATT 2026’s expanding role in ASEAN textile sourcing

At its third edition, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT) further reinforced its role as a key sourcing and business platform for ASEAN’s textile industry. The three-day fair welcomed over 17,000 visits from 54 countries and regions, and featured over 460 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions across 18,000 sqm. The 2026 edition was marked by the introduction of new international pavilions and zones, broadening the fair’s sourcing scope across new geographies and product categories. RE&UP partners with Madewell and ISKO on textile-to-textile denim capsule

RE&UP Recycling Technologies is accelerating the shift toward a closed-loop textile economy through a collaboration with American denim brand Madewell and global fabric manufacturer ISKO. By transforming approximately 20,000 pairs of post-consumer jeans into recycled feedstock for a textile-to-textile denim capsule, RE&UP demonstrates the commercial viability of circular systems in the denim sector.

ITM presents cutting-edge textile research at Techtextil

From April 21 to 24, 2026, the Chair of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) at TUD Dresden University of Technology will be presenting its current research at Techtextil, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens.
