Overview Winter 2021/22 – Focus on Cosmopolitan

While most people who take careful consideration toward their workwear style do the same for their sportswear style, many are continuing to bring performance sportswear looks into their daily lives.  A general shift toward urban outdoor style with sustainable performance elements is the norm, along with unique fabric function stories that are authentic and clear in their design language.

For winter 2021-2022, these multifunctional, versatile high-tech textiles at Schoeller fall under a theme of REAL FICTION. REAL meaning real responsibility, practiced sustainability and true innovation, and FICTION representing the future, adventure and magical dreams.

GREY DILUTIONS

The trendy, supersoft mulesing-free schoeller®-WB-400 Merino wool blend in a denim look flows softly and cuts a fine figure in each situation. Tailored into washable, chic pants, jackets or suits in jeans-like shades of blue and grey, the fabric becomes the ideal all-rounder both at work and during leisure activities. Thanks to the new bio-based iLoad Comfort Bio technology, which actively balances the temperature, the fabric has a very pleasant feel in the most varied of climate zones. In addition, sustainable water repellence is ensured by the fluorocarbon-free ecorepel® Bio technology, also based on renewable raw materials.

ENHANCED CLASSICS

The comfortable schoeller®-shape wool blend in fine herringbone with shades of brown and blue can be tailored into a piece that takes its wearer through the day with sporty elegance, radiating casual Brit chic and comfort. Thanks to the corkshell technology based on cork by-products, the mulesing-free, washable merino fabric keeps the wearer reliably and naturally warm. In addition, the re-interpreted classic item is finished with ecorepel® Bio technology, providing ecological, PFC-free water repellence.

ULTIMATE RED

Flowing lightly and falling softly best describe the new schoeller®-shape jacket and pants weights in full-bodied shades of red, burnt henna or warm wine. The blend of cotton and classy cashmere, together with recycled polyester, lends the fabric a vibrant, urban elegance. In its function, the eye-catcher makes a convincing impact with a new aerobrane e-spinning membrane. This offers optimum protection from wind and weather and is extraordinarily breathable.

ECO CREATED

The matt soft-shell with recycled polyester and cotton, as well as the ecorepel® Bio technology, is a shining example of sustainable and responsibly-produced quality products from Switzerland. The comfortable schoeller®-WB-400 quality with a soft, recycled fleece on the reverse keeps the wearer wonderfully warm and adapts to every movement – whether on the bike, in the city or even enjoying winter sports on the ski slopes.

Sandler turns financial stability into a catalyst for shaping the future

The Sandler Group has presented its financial figures for the past fiscal year (01/01/2025-12/31/2025). Like previous years, the year 2025 was also marked by industry-wide structural challenges and geopolitical uncertainties. Turnover was virtually stable at EUR 321 million (2024: EUR 326 million). High energy costs continue to weigh heavily on profitability. The number of employees was 975 (2024: 980). The family-owned company, which was founded in 1879 and has been run by the fifth generation since August 2025, continues to invest millions in its Schwarzenbach site despite the high production costs in Germany. As part of the long-term corporate strategy, the management team is focusing on strict cost management, further development of the product portfolio, and greater efficiency in production and administrative processes. The company does not expect a market recovery in 2026 and 2027.
